How do I set up my wireless Belkin F5D7050, I no

1. Hard wire your pc to the router/modem using ethernet cord / cat 5 cable or use usb storage to download the driver to this link

http://web.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D7050&aid=5381&scid=0

2. Install the driver/software by executing the file.

then follow this:

SymptomNot able to go online only with the wireless connection.
ResolutionTo address the problem, use the following steps:
  1. On the Belkin Wireless monitor utility click on the tab AP List .
  2. Select the encrypted network that you wish to join. Click Connect.
  3. This will take you to the New Profile page . Enter a Profile Name .
  4. On the next page, you will see the network name, the network type and the transmit rate. Click Next.
  5. This will take you to the page that will ask you to select the Authentication Mode. This will be OFF by default. Select Open System or Shared Key depending on the network.
  6. Then select 64-bit or 128-bit encryption depending on the configuration on the Router/AP. Click Next.
  7. On the next page, select Input Method , which will be Hexadecimal (0-9,A-F) or Passphrase.
  8. Select the key index and enter the keys or the passphrase depending on the configuration on the router/AP. Click Complete.
CauseYou are not able to connect to a secured wireless network because the router/AP (what is this?) is encrypted.
SummaryWireless networks by their very nature are not secure because data is transmitted across open (i.e., air) media. This allows unintended “listeners” to receive the data. WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) is used in a wireless network to secure the signals and hence the data.

How can I run a setup for my belkin F5D8233-4 without the cd?

No router needs a setup CD to configure.

Configure DHCP on your MAC interface that connects to the router and check if that interface gets an IP. If you have an IP, then open a web browser (IE, Firefox, etc, forgot the MAC browser name), and enter the IP address you had but replace the last one with 1.
Say you got 192.168.2.3, then enter 192.168.2.1 and hit return.
You will need a pasword to login. If you ever changed router password, it will be either blank (type nothing) or admin.

After login, you can configure anything list on left side of the menu.

There are some web sites I cannot access with this

In the router go into WAN Interface or something similar to that menu choice. Click on Connection settings area and just click through until you see the MTU settings. Don't forget to apply changes after changing it. I hope that helped.

The wep code

You can usually erase WEP keys off of a wireless router by doing a full reset. This usually involves holding the reset button for up to a minute and turning the router on and off. The method varies from router to router.

You can sometimes find this information in the user manual. If you post the model of the router I may be able to tell you what you need to do to reset it.

Bye the way, I WOULD NOT install the wireless software on a wireless pc, as configuring a Router with a wireless conection is bound to create problems, - take it from someone who KNOWS.

I can not wep inc

HI
First you need to access your Router.
Then go to the setup page and set the router password and the encryption which is in your case WEP.

To do that open an Internet page and then type in your router's IP add, then type in username and password.

then go to setup page and change anything you want.

Hope it helps

Cheers

Annex a/b

Normally for routers or gateways you can check the actual model number on the device itself for UK devices usually they will affix letter A or B next to the model number to indicate which region it belongs. Open region routers and gateways are compatible with region A locations but not with region B.

I lost the instillation CD and need the wep code

The WEP code is whatever you make it when you set up the wireless connection. If you have lost this key. It is best to use the manual reset located on your wireless router. Will require a small point like a paperclip. Then you will have to access the router and set up the wireless internet over again. Then you can secure it with a new WEP key.
If you need further assistance please ask me.
Thanks,
Lee

Belkin F5D7633-4 connection problem

Consider using OpenDNS. You can find it at https://www.opendns.com/
It's nameservers are: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

I'll skip the details why they are hundreds of times better than your ISP's nameservers, but they list the reasons on their site. Give it a try and see if it will work.

I lost my belkin install cd

hello!

-- who is your internet service provider
-- what is the operating system of your computer?
-- is this working fine before or is this a brand new router

you may try this and see if this help solve your problem. make sure your computer is directly connected to the router

Step 1: Shutdown the computer.
Step 2: reset the router while power on then Unplug the router’s power cable.
Step 3: Unplug the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for 30 seconds.
Step 4: Plug in the Broadband modem’s power cable and wait for its lights to appear stable.
Step 5: Plug in the router's power cable once the modem’s lights appear stable.
Step 6: Power on the computer on and configure the router settings
Step 7: test the Internet connection.

if this still didnot work, upgrade the firmware of your router

note:

configuring the router settings will depends who is your provider. if your isp is dsl you need to configure your ISP username and password on the router. if your router is a cable no need to change any settings on the router. it should automatically work

if you are still having trouble configuring your device, call supportrix and use supportcall as your promo code for 1 free technical support.
