NOT ONCE DID YOU SAY, W7,8,OR 10 We can not guess your OS, or its upgrade history ever. some of the errors I had, I cured, Not ALL, the security package HP is dead for every(finger prints malarkey) what I did for w10 was to down load all w7 drivers. then on each one (yes tedious,as heck) I installed them all SPxyz123.ext using w10 , compatibility mode w7 to 10. as Microsoft documents fully. if your read that i have list of all drivers for mine that work. just ask. that keyboard is 100% USDA HP custom , totally custom and HP on mine never sent w10 drivers to MS so PnP fails TOO. on mine there are no w8 , or 10 or 11 drivers all ,nor will there ever be any as HP told. all answers me ,USA only period.

PCs can show 10million screens even 1 billion servers on earth if screen looks wrong post photo of wrong./ it is that easy. fore sure. Yes, you will have to do another install of the OS if it's a blank HD.

You need to press PrtScr or Print Screen button to capture the screen to the clip board. I believe on your laptop you need to hold the fn key down to select it. On the bottom left of the keyboard is a key that has fn on it. Any key on your keyboard that has a second function will need the fn key to access this second key function. PrtScr button should be on the top row right hand side of the keyboard.Hold down the fn key and press the PrtScr key and then you can paste it into a document or paint or whatever. The PrintScreen function works in versions of windows I have ever used, from Windows 3.11 for workgroups to Windows 8.

Why would you need to have a work around on a password for a laptop you supposedly own? Did you forget the password? You also don't need a password to do a system restore to factory stock. Upgarde the Lan Wireless Driver at HP Support

Buy a usb dvd drive or download a windows 8.1 iso file

If the FN+brightness does not work, you need to download the latest specific drivers from HP website for your Elite model
