Sometimes a very small piece of paper can still be in the printer paper path after clearing a jam especially if the paper tears while removing the jam. The piece of paper may be too small to notice. Try blowing out the paper area with compressed air. Other causes could be the thickness of paper you are trying to print on, ie photo paper, thicker bond paper. Make sure the print settings match the paper thickness. I have a Lexmark laser printer, and I will get feed problems if the settings are not set for the correct paper type. I hope this helps. Alex

A lot of the ink jet printers have a copper color strap on the ink cartridge this contains the heads. If you are refilling the cartridges or have let the printer sit for a long time the heads can get built up dry ink stuck in them. Try taking the cartridge out and physically cleaning it using rubbing alcohol. If this does not work try replacing the cartridge.

Most likely when you removed the paper jam a small piece of paper got jammed under one of the sensors. This is a very common problem. It is also possible depending on the model that you have dislodged one of the flags that activates sensors for paper travel. Check the back of the printer in the fuser area as these are the most commonly damaged sensors.
