yes i have a 37"protron too,when i move i had it on the wall as well. the same problem started when i put the stand back on .what i been doing to survive is keep pushin the turn on button on every time it clips to red.this game goes on for 5mn plus.each time the t.v stay on alittle longer until it pops on.this is not the fix answer but prolonging the inevitable that it needs to go to the t.v repair shop.my t.v flim is running down the left side like a black small cloud.where that dude with the glassses who was on shopnbc talkin smack how great it was..dont get me wrong the picture for hdmi is great,but the longevity ****.for at least this model

Are there any signs of life at all when you try to power on the TV ? Clicking sounds.. power light ? Blinking?
- if not try disconnecting AC power from the TV, hold in the power button on the actual TV set ( not the remote ) for 10 seconds - then wait another minute and try to power on again
Do you hear any clicking when you plug in ac power
If the set still does not power on ,it indicates the power board is not powering up at all- you may have a blown fuse on the power board
You can replace it by removing screws on back of the set and the entire rear panel with a “ same type and rating “ from your local hardware store.

sounds like the led back light has gone on a few lines, this can cause the problems you have said it can also be a weak power board and the voltage for the leds has dropped, you will need to check the power board and check the condition of the capacitors on the power board, any abnormal looking capacitors would need changing/replacing.
