If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Remove the battery.
Purchase a can of compressed-air.
Give your computer a "blow-job", shooting air into every vent that you can find, in order to remove all the dust.
A layer of dust is good insulation, thus causing your computer to heat-up, and self-protect by shutting down when "too-hot".
Also, check that the fan(s) are running -- too much dust can SEIZE the bearings on the fan, preventing it from spinning.
Don't be afraid to take the computer to a certified technician, for proper cleaning, if your attempt does not produce good results.
hi
-remove battery pack(if you can romove memory ram aswell) and wait 10 mins -now start charging laptop without battery pack for 2 mins -unplUg the power AND press and hold the power button for 45 seconds -REPLUG THE POWER CABLE BUT DONT PUT THE BATTERY PACK YET
NOW OPEN THE LID WIDER YOU CAN PRESS POWER BUTTON YOU WILL SEE YOUR SYSTEM WILL START ONCE YOUR SYSTEM BE READY SHUT IT DOWN PUT THE BATTERY PACK BACK AND CONTUNUE TO USE YOUR LAPTOP
remove the battery and adapter. press power button for 30 sec. then connect the adapter. press power button. if this didnt work. you need to ask for an help of a local tech to check for the video card and cable.
Try to boot in Safe Mode, If you are able to move, try to Uninstall Video driver and software. Also find this adapter in Registry and delete values very carefully, better you backup your registry.
If you are unable, a fresh copy of windows will resolve this issue.
It is possible that the motheboard has gone bad. The power brick could also have developed a short in the cable. I would first see if you could use a different porwe cable and try that. If that doesn't work, then i would suggest changing the motherboard if possible.
When it comes to powering up a system, one of two things could prevent a successful boot.
1. The power supply may be bad
2. The motherboard could have just stopped working.
I have run into problems similar to this with a couple of my desktops. My desktop had a burned out board and while diagnosing I found this out. I eliminated the Power supply by trying it in a different computer and it booted over. Now I know with a laptop it is much more difficult to use this part swapping approach. To me your best course of action would be to have it sent to the manufacturer if it is still under warrenty or have a technician examine it and see what the true problem is.
Sounds like the power pin is loose. I fixed one on my Z505 Sony and on my S6210 Fujitsu. The part is only 5 bucks but the labor at most shops is over 200 bucks. OUCH!
I finally figured out that tugging and pulling on the cable was what caused the pin to fail. Got a JerkStopper and haven't had a problem since I installed it.
I googled this and found that both the notebook itself and the docking station have ethernet connections, the docking station ethernet connection seems to be between the usb and monitor connection, The notebook itself has a ethernet connection on the right side of the notebook near the back under a rubber cover. Let me know if that was correct or not.
