How do i restore to factory settings?
I have researched Toshiba website. They do not list replacement system DVD/CD there. Did find a listing on Ebay but the item was sold. Checked the manual and there is no information on restoration within it. The result is that I do not see any easy answer for you. You could contact tech support @ Toshiba, generally pay for the call and requrest from them the restoration software. Or you could buy XP CD install the CD and acquire from online the drivers for the computer. Regret that the choices are not better.

The keyboard is not working
Hi,
Connect an external USB keyboard, if there's no problems with it then remove your laptop's keyboard. First: Disconnect the ribbon connection and reconnect again
Second: If that doesn't fix the problem
Third: Buy a replacement
If the external USB Keyboard doesn't work you may have some software issues
Toshiba Tecra M2 Not boot up past BIOS ...
On some laptops, holding down FN key when you turn it on, puts you in a diagnostic mode so you can check things. next thing would be to alternate memory.
kind of thinking might be a keyboard problem though (connected to Motherboard so it could be connected to that)
anyway, try an external keyboard. might have to disconnect the laptop keyboard if external keyboard dosent come up for you.
