Sounds like a bad digitizer sometimes only part of the screen will go bad but still gonna need to replace the digitizer for it to work properly. I believe the HTC One X has a fused LCD/Digitizer which makes it alot easier to replace but also much more expensive
You will need to Root your phone, and then swap out the boot animation file. This is not a simple thing to answer here on fixya. Do a Google search for your phone's model and change boot animation, for further help.
