Will not drain model
Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Soap dispenser will not open.
the detergent dispenser is located behind the door panel. it is actuated by an electrical signal that powers a solenoid. two problems are possible. 1 the solenoid is not getting power or is defective, or 2, the linkage that connects the solenoid to the door release is broken or has come loose.
there are a few screws down each edge of the door ( usually phillips head) . sit in front of the dishwasher with a towel on your lap. remove the screws on each side and let the door panel fall in your lap on the towel. once the panel is off, you will see the back side of the detergent compartment. if the seal around the detergent drawer is leaking, you may find the solenoid electrical connection is corroded. ( unplug the dishwasher or turn off the breaker, as the solenoid is actuated by 110vac). if this is the case you may be able to clean the connnection. close the detergent drawer, and push on the plunger of the solenoid. the drawer door should pop open. if not, look for any binding in the linkage. if all looks well, run the dishwasher with the door panel off. when it gets to the main wash cycle, check the two terminals on the solenoid with a volt meter. if you never get power, it will be a bad control board. if you get power but the solenoid never actuates, you need a detergent drawer assembly. they are fairly inexpensive, and usually the seal fails causing the solenoid to get corroded.

Both spray arms of my DU943PWKQ0 do not turn or
Try rotating the spray arms by hand. It should rotate freely. If possible clean the arm rotating place by removing them.
Arms rotate by by pump pressure only. finally check the water pump also.

DU943PWKSO DISHWASHER STOPPED WORKING, ELECTRICAL
Hi
Thanks
for using FixYa. This issue can be either due to a faulty door latch or
door lock switch which is not engaging itself. And, if the door latch will not
engage the dishwasher will sense it as open door and will not start the cycle.
And the sound might be coming from the door lock solenoid (a hum/buzz
sound).
The light
also blinks when the dishwasher detects a no-fill
condition. You’ll need to get access to the fill valve by removing left
panel, look at back to see where valve is when you get to it remove one of the
wires and set meter to ohms setting and put a lead on each tag on valve. The
reading you should be about 3.6k ohm if you don’t get a reading then the valve
is at fault. I'll also suggest you to check the detergent dispenser
solenoid for this issue. Remove the door panel and see if there is a round
item at the dispenser assembly with two wires attached to it. Put the
dishwasher into a cycle and when the noise appears, gently press on the
solenoid to see if that is where the noise is coming from.
Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further
assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

My dishes are not getting clean and water not draining
check to make sure there is nothing blocking the hose that would slow the water from draining properly.i have seen grease build up in the hose before usually in the lowest lying part of the hose.
also check to see iff you have any kind of back flow from the sink.you may also need to check the drain pump and see if there is any thing that may be stuck in the pump.

DU943PWKSO DISHWASHER STOPPED WORKING, ELECTRICAL
Check you electrical power box that feeds to the house. If this dishwasher is hooked up under a sink counter and there is a garbage disposal in the sink area the dishwasher should be hooked up to the same circuit that the dishwasher is hooked to. If the garbage disposal works then the circuit is good your problem is either in the connection from the plug to the dishwasher or in the timer section of the unit. Either way the unit wont operate. Check power into the unit then check power at the hookup from the dishwasher to the plug itself if all is good then timer has gone bad
Good luck hope this helped you some

Two problems: soap cover and seal?
Door leaked because of a plastic bearing ($4.10 part) on the lower arm causing water inside to surge and splash out the vents on the bottom of the door. Soap cover problem was a corroded spring caught on a plastic part inside the door panel. The spring actually broke and now seems to work fine because there was another spring helping to do the same job that is now allowed to work.

Whirlpool DU943 leaks heavily when filling from
I doubt the H2O tank temp would have any affect... to fix the problem you will need to pull the unit out and replace the supply line from the valve to the elbow... I would recommend braided line.
If your talking about the fill tube that loops up the side of the unit it usually is just seperated at one of the fittings and can be pushed back intp lace or recalmped... otherwise you will have to purchase a new oem tube.

Dishwasher doesn't drain in any mode
There is a selenoid switch under the washer that has to open for it to drain. You will have to remove the lower front cover to find it. Check and see if the wire contacts are corroded, if they are remove the wiresone at a time and clean them up with a small wire brush. Also see if you have a water leak that might be causing the corrosion. Make sure you turn off the power first. Did I mention that you should turn off the power first? Also it might be a good idea to turn off the elictrical power at the main circuit box B-4 you start. Sorry can't stress the safety thing enough, If you killed yourself because of me you might never forgive me!!

Soap stains on dishes will not completely clean dishes
Most likely what you have is not soap stains. Its calcium build up inside your unit. Here lets do a test with your dishwasher dry rub your hand on the side walls and inside the door. If you have white powder on your hand you need to run a acid treatment. If you don't do a acid treatment that only makes it worse, so worse in fast you will lose water pressure and not clean at all and buy that time you would have to get a new unit. What i recommend my customers is a product called Dishwasher Magic some stores carry it but it would be best to google it. When you have it follow the instructions on the back and your dishwasher is aa good as new. A long time solution to prevent it from happening again is to get your water hardness tested and get a water softener. But running the acid treatment one ce every week 2weeks or a month will not hurt ether. good luck
