HP Compaq ProLiant DL380 G4 Server Questions & Answers
Hard disk space
Check on the HP website for BIOS updates and Firmware updates for your raid controller. This sounds very odd that there is a 28GB limitation on drive size? What size drives are in there now? They usually step up in size like 9GB, 18GB, 36GB, 72GB, etc.... Your IT guy maybe misinformed.

I have HP PROLIANT DL
need to provide moreinfo.
is the server (prolaint DL380) constantly rebooting within BIOS mode or has it got to the stage of running windows.
The other item not mentioned here, is, IF the raid controller has failed, you will not see any disks initializing and would cause the system to continually reboot.
If it is an internal raid controller, it is part of the motherboard, you will need to contact HP to have it replaced.
If an pci related array controller .. i.e. separate to the motherboard, this will need to be replaced to see the HDD's.
Either way sounds like a hardware issue.
Best to liaise directly with vendor to have the faulty components replaced.

The administrator password doesn't work for some
Hi,
If you mean your windows administrator password is not working and you want to change it and want to boot in safe mode then use the option of F8 at boot time this should take you to safe mode of windows. You can also use Hiren Boot CD to change administrator password if you own that server. Hope this answers your question.
