Washer won't spin dry
Safety switch is not opening. When you leave lid up you are negating the safety switch which is activated by the door. Easy fix.

Water keep filling til machine overflow and need to turn of water inlet valve
if you have to shut off the water supply valve of the residence (water keeps flowing after turning off the washing machine or unplugging the washer), the failed component is definitely a stuck open water inlet valve (fill valve) of the appliance. If the water stopped by pushing the timer or unplugging the machine, another internal electrical control related problem exists, such as a faulty timer assembly or controller board, or a pressure system failure (water level detection/monitoring system) - failed pressure switch (rare), clogged air hose or tub air dome (common in GE top-load washers), disconnected air hose (common in frigidaire top load washers & GE/Frigidaire/Kenmore stacked washer/dryer combo units). While a simple repair can be done by yourself for a failed inlet valve, usually for $25-$50 in parts/shipping (go to searspartsdirect.com or appliancepartspros.com to look up a replacement fill-valve using your washing machine model number), the water damage potentially caused by the flooding is more important to address.I recommend contacting your insurance company if there's a bunch of water that flooded your home - the water can cause delayed warping of flooring or cause mold to grow in/beneath your carpets and walls if the water was not immediately noticed and cleaned up (within first few minutes of flooding) - they send out water remediation specialists to dry (if possible), or to repair the damage to your home.

Recently our LSQ8243H Washer stopped
Hi, I'd like to help diagnose your problem but I may need a bit more information. Based on what you stated, I assume you have a top loading WHR washer with an electromechanical timer... the kind that you turn and it clicks. Anyway, you stated that the washer stopped in the middle of the cycle and that simply opening and closing the lid would fix it for a while. I suspect that your lid safety switch may be cracked and isn't being actuated by the plunger on the lid. If this is the case, the washer would function properly until it reached the point in the cycle where it should spin. Then it would stop at that point in the cycle. This makes sense that opening and closing the lid might "fix" it for a while. Also, if the switch got bad enough that opening / closing the lid didn't work anymore, you could rotate the timer dial just past the spin area and the cycle would continue. Have you noticed the clothes are wetter at the end of the cycle?
Anyway, check the lid switch first and then repost if you rule it out.
Good luck.

Top part of the agitator , when wasing want move,
You need to replace your agitator dogs. part number 80040. You have to pop the cap off the agitator. Then theres another cover that you pull out. This will give you access to the bold holding the agitator in place. The agitator needs to be removed and separated to replace these. If you search the how-to's/tips and tricks section of this website you will probably find a detailed step-by-step. Hope this helps.

The agitator won't spin but the bottom part does
This problem is attributed to worn agitator dogs. The following link explains:

This is a very simple repair that's also inexpensive. The part number is included in the instructions, I provided. Appliancepartspros.com carries them for about $5.
If you do not wish to purchase on line, take the part number to your nearest appliance parts retailer. This is a very common part that most stores carry in their inventory.
If you have any questions about this repair, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Whirlpol LSQ8243 Washer Stopped Working
My father had the same problem with same model about a year ago and it was the switch. If the machine continues to run up to the point of the spin cycle obviously the motor works and so he fixed the switch/timer that changes the cycle. In expensive but use a manual to guide you in reaching the switch and you will be able to manually turn the switch by hand observing that the spin cycle once reached times out or short circuits.

Agitator slipping
Replace the coupler. It is located between the motor and the transmission. I think it retails at about $8.00.
