Has anyone found a solution to this problem that actually works. My bluetooth was working fine for about a month ( yes EM229WM) now it will enter pairing mode ( flashes red and blue) but when phones search for it they can not find the device... If I do not find an answer soon I am going to just take the thing back to walmart

I had a similar problem with my Blackberry 9630. If the headset says UFDBH08R it's probably an Emerson EM277. Followed these directions and was able to connect the two.

make sure that the code you enter in to the phone as the pairing code is correct. most of them are 0000 or 00000, some of the samsungs are 1234.

this code must be entered in correctly to pair the device. If you are using an iphone, there are some issues with it people report.

The generic PIN (Which is what I'm guessing you need) for most bluetooth devices is either 0000, or 1234. Please try those and see if that solves your problem.

On your phone, make sure bluetooth is turned on (settings, general).

While your phone is in discovery mode, turn your bluetooth device on and put it in discovery mode (usually you have to hold the power button for 7-10 seconds).

Your phone will find the device, and you will be prompted to enter the devises PIN number (often 0-0-0-0). Your phone should pair with the device then.

On your phone, make sure bluetooth is turned on (settings, general).

As you have not specified your headset's model, go to this page, select the one which better suit your needs, download it and follow the instructions on how to put your headset in pairing mode, prior to trying to pair it with your phone.
