You will need Nero burning software. It will after the normal burn show you a screen where you place the image you want to burn for lightscribe. Another failing with lightscribe is that you must have lightscribe discs!

On the back of the drive is a jumper for M (master) S (slave) CS (cable select)
It sounds like that may be in the wrong position.
If you have two devices trying to be Master or two trying to be slave that will make boot up very slow or not at all.
Double check how the cables and jumpers are arranged.

I am having trouble burning
make sure that the dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd burner then plug them back in this should activate the found new hardware wizard or you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device click start control panel administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver,roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall Click start control panel administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question mark ? right click you will have options to update driver,roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer

you should buy a DVD lance cleaner DVD. which is avilable in your electronic market.
use it.bcoz, your dvd lance have dust on it.
if, it again give you same error then, goto your nearest service center.
