LG LDF6810ST Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher - Page 9 Questions & Answers
IE error on LDF6810ST, it's not the valve or the controller
Try to check water flow sensor that attached to the water intake plastic thin container. It's located from the inner side therefore you won't see it from the first glance. You have to take it apart then find it from the inner bottom side.
We used our LG diswasher to clean our grill
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Please make sure the dishes are loaded properly or
dishwasher is not overloaded. Also check that the dishwasher is filling
properly. It will fill with water up to and around the heating element. If
water is more below the heating element, then there is a low water pressure or
a problem with the fill valve. Try & listen if it sounds like it is
spraying the water around with enough pressure. For low water pressure, try to
clean the screen at the entrance of the fill valve, sometimes the fill valve
can fail and not allow the proper water into the dishwasher and may need to be
replaced. And, check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks. As you
have already checked the water inlet valve please also make sure that the water
is draining and is not accumulated in the dishwasher. If it is in the dishwasher
then check for clogged drain hoses and drain pump and clean them. Please do
accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks

Dishes not drying, greasy items not clean
Hi,
You are alomost there. Yes these are some common issues and get resolved only by replacing the heating element.
Thanks for contacting Fixya and please accept the solution if it has helped you.
I just installed the dishwasher and do not turn on
On the LG LDF6810 model, you should be able to open the door and press the power button (right side of the top of the door.) It should wake up and you should see lights.
If that fails to happen, trace the power from under the dishwasher to where it is plugged in to the wall. If it is under the sink and you have a waste disposal, it is very possible that both outlets are switched on/off by the disposal switch. I would find a known-good table light or something similar and plug it in to the outlet and see if the light turns on when I switch it on. Electrician is needed to separate the top/bottom outlets so the dishwasher is always on and the disposal is properly switched.
If the dishwasher is not connected to an outlet, rather directly connected via electrical wire, have an electrician confirm the hot, neutral and ground wires are properly connected under the dishwasher and check the circuit breaker/fuse for that circuit.
Please report back what you find, OK?
After the dishwasher runs there is a lot of soap
With the LG LDF6810 model, this is not a common problem.
Please try the following test, With and empty dishwasher, add a small to normal amount of dry dishwasher powder and run an (empty) load.
Check to see if any soap remains in the dispenser cup.
If any remains, here are three things to do:
1.) Upgrade your dishwasher detergent to a name brand powder (e.g.: Electrosol or Cascade)
2.) When you load the dishwasher, do not place large items in the front, near the door/soap dispenser.
3.) Before you load the dirty dishes for the next several loads, with your hand, turn both the upper and lower wash arms so they point at the door. Load as you normally do and push the racks fully in. Before you close the door, spin both the upper and lower arms and confirm that they spin freely and neither hits anything. if either does not spin freely, pull out the rack and arrange so the arms can spin freely.
I find that the only time I have left over detergent powder is when the wash arms do not spin freely.
This is a common problem on most every energy star/water conserving dishwashers.
Please report back what you find, OK?
Code 0E
Hi,
The OE code on an LG washer is a long drain code. It is saying that it has not drained within ten minutes.
You will need to check the door on the lower left hand side and clean out the filter. If the filter has nothing in it, you will need to replace the pump.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
No water coming in
check inlet water free flow. Check strainer at the inlet. check whether motor is running.
LG dishwasher is dripping water from vent onto floor
Good that it is working. Recommend you keep a lose eye on the vent on the bottom of the door panel. This model will probably begin leaking again if it has not been retrofit with a kit that LG developed.
Please open a new problem when it starts to leak and please provide the Model and serial number when you do. Good Luck!
LE on display
I just had my LG dishwasher fixed. I told the repair man that LE light was comming on. Even over the phone the repairman said its probably broken wires on the door. Me being in construction for years looked around the door for wires. Anyway the repairman took off 6 screws around the door, took the cover off. You will see about 50 wires taped together. He pulled them aside and visually checked them one by one. Sure enough two were broken in two. He twisted them together put tape and he was gone. $87.50 Still Working!
Dishwasher is not cleaning well, leaving a lot of
Hello- This unit has a filter that will become blocked by large quantities of grease over time. The accumulator screen clogs and water won't flow. If grease has been building up for awhile this screen will have to be replaced. -- Rinse most of grease off dishes before putting in dishwasher--. Try running water at sink until hot, and run dishwasher with no dishes and a little extra soap. Let me know if this info helps- Have more if needed.- Thanks- Ed
