Since there are no specific numbers for your equipment, I will respond generically. Part of the cooling process is removing moisture from the air. This sounds like it is a condensate drain. You may be missing a hose or a pan or both, that collect the moisture removed from the air. This is the only reason I know of for any A/C unit to be discharging air unless it is a water cooled unit.

Toget proper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre.It it's with RV, check power to RV

inside there is a filter attached to the motor. you will have to unscrew and open the unit to clean it off. it will be approximatly 6 to 8 screws to remove. i used a damp cloth to wipe the dust which was as thick as carpet(lol) cuz my unit is 4 years old and after that it is as cold as ever. also refrain from using the inlet hose as it attract more debris to that filter but still use the exhaust. hope this helps

Your thermostat Function 0170 must be set to "1" for Single Stage Heat/Cool. Function 0180 must be set for "0" for Heating Fan Control. Function 0240 must be set for "5" for the Heating Cycle Rate for your <90% Gas Furnace. If you have already done these steps or if, after doing these steps, you continue to experience a problem, you problem could be with your Gas Furnace. there is a drain pan which you should empty often and a filter somewhere which you can hose off and let dry in the sun... clean that filter somewhat often like once a month.

check capacitors, make sure the condensor coil is clean. sounds like the compressor is overheating. is the condensor fan motor still turning when it stops cooling. if not check low voltage wires to condensor, furnace and t-stat

First of all you check your circuit breaker, try plunging it to another power outlet.

If the fan is not running is the compressor not running also...if neither is running the possible reasons are 
1.no power to outside unit.
2.bad contractor on outside unit.is this buzzing if it is this indicates no power.
3.bad capacitor,do both compressor and fan humm then quit humming and hum some more.
4.high pressure switch has shut unit down because fan wasn't running if compressor was running but not fan.
If your unit has this there will be a manual reset button where the lines come out of unit.
If compressor was running and fan was not...
1 bad fan.
2 bad capacitor.
If you do not have any electrical knowhow i would recommend calling a hvac tech to come and fix unit...

When was the last time the condenser coil was cleaned? you might start by checking it to see if it's very dirty and if it's not dirty, you may need a hard start kit for the compressor or the thermostat might be bad.

when the coils freeze up , from intake of outside air, when using the heat pump mode, the unit will try to defrost the coils before going back to heat mode. mine did this alot. does it kick back to heat after a few mins? also after 2 years , mine started having issues with the exhaust blower control and would go into warp mode and bang noise.seems like common issues for this unit.whether the amana, or haier version.

My AP125HD had exactly the same symptoms. It did not matter what ac outlet I used where the air conditioner was.

But...THIS PROBLEM STOPPED once I moved the ac cord to an outlet outside of the house. This outlet is on it's own separate circuit breaker and I have no other electrical equipment/appliances on it.

I guess the user manual is correct that this unit should be on a home circuit all by itself!
