the steps mention below will help you to configure the router manually :
first check is your internet is working when you connect your computer wired with your modem given by your internet service provider, if yes, lets move on to the second step, connect your router and their should be four lights on the router

B. WIRELESS : looks like a radio sending signals
C. INTERNET : looks like i with a circle underneath it
D. and number light : that shows one of your computer is connected with a wire to the router.
once its done now open the internet explorer on your wired computer
type in 192.168.1.1or you can type
http://routerlogin.com, it will prompt you for user name and password, the user name will be 'admin' and password will be 'password', make sure you type it in small case
On the left hand side their is blue coloum, their you need to click on SETUP WIZARD the very first option,
It says the router can autodetect the internet connection, their select YES and click on NEXT option and it shows the screen below :
a. does your internet cinnection require login, Seclect NO
b. make sure you check all the options that i have circled in above screen shot and click on apply it comes with the same page again
c. now click on ROUTER STATUS under the Heading called maintainence and check do you have any ip address under the internet port if YES then you have your wired connection working now, check that by opening another internet explorer, if its still not working
Then upgrade teh firmware from the link mention below :
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1222above mention is the master link for all WPN824v2 routers select the version and upgrade the firmware, and steps are mention on the same link as well.
Once its done follow the same steps to make you wired connection working. Once its done, Lets move on to the wireless connection

e. Key1 ; type any 10 digit number or you can type 1020304050, as mention above as the password for your wireless network
Till now we have set up the wired connection and wireless connection on router and now lets connect your wireless computer with it
you will able to see your wireless network name on your computer, simply select it and it will prompt you for password that will be your 10 digit number you punch in Key1
