Color has gone fist to green then to red Before

This can be due to sparking from the EHT and so it is important that you open the set after removing the power to check. Clean the EHT, the HT wires and the CRT anode on the tube. The pop might be the spark and guns seem to work with a bias when this happens, check on the CRT board on the base of the tube.

My TV autonatically switches on

This is a fault solution which can be checked and corrected by you assuming that there is no component failure. There is a high possibility that the components over a period of heating and cooling, tend to bring on a problem of dry soldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that have played on to give you these erratic shut downs or poor performance.

The best way to check for loose connections is to tap lightly when the set is powered on , If there is change while tapping then it seems that there are DRY solder joints. Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check for dry joints, use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points.

Sometimes the fault occurs when the set warms up, if so you can simulate the heat using a hair dryer on the suspected areas, try with the power supply, distribution, Processor controller, driver controllers on the A/V related sections. Also the use a FREEZE-IT spray can simulate the components to cool and show up the fault.

Based on the above method you must be able to locate the area of fault and solder the sections. Sometimes large IC's- ones with more pins- tend to have drying in some pins and so cause faults related to the IC's protocol. Have a rough idea of looking into the areas to reduce the time of probing.

TV MODEL :SANSUI HARD ROCK

Hi The problem of your teevision is what we called the vertical line problem. The problem is in the vertical section of the board. There are many of cause of that problem.First is either loose connection, the circuit at the vertical section have cold solder so its need to resolder using soldering iron.Second,it maybe no vertical supply, its better to check the 12 volts dc supply of vertical ic output.if thers no supply in the ic,there a open resistor near the flyback.try to replace.Third if theres no loose connection and have a voltage supply the problem is either leaked capacitor or deffective vertical ic output. Commonly in that problem is the loose connection, try to resolder the verical section.

I have dish network and dont know what channel to

Hi my nameis Mike Houston of DISH Network and I was going over your post and see you wantto watch a DVD and not sure what channel or input the TV should be on. Whilewatching a DVD the connectors may be RCA cables (Red, Yellow, White), if those arethe connections you will want to put the TV on either Video1 or Input1. Whilethe DISH Network should be connected to the TV by Coax cable (it will have ascrew on connection). The TV channel should be set to ch3 or ch4, if you haveany questions please e-mail me at [email protected].

/my screen is blue with video 1/auto showing on

i need more info?
The video1 is the input channel ,the auto is the sound and video system the tv uses to identify the signal(you have a multi system tv) {multi system (pal, ntsc, secam etc) if it is in auto mode you dont need to worry about it , the tv wil identify the system automaticaly and set the apropriate setings by itself.

You could press av on tv or on remote to switch between av1 /av2 /tv program etc, make sure the ant / dvd / cable etc is conected and on while selecting / pressing av button.
hope it works.

Will not power on just

It seems that the SMPS is loaded as the driver is cut off on protection which makes the whining noise. You will need to remove the panel after disconnection of power, disconnect power to the main board and see if the +B voltage comes up on the circuit.
If so there is a short in the mainboard, can be the drivers shorting. Check with the multimeter to confirm

My tv will turn on

Tv have picture and sound within that 2 minutes?Yes,than tv have coldsolder joints some where just resolder the video board connections pins hole socket of the video board connected to the tv CRT-tv tube. The FBT resolder it too.The big black block of plastic witth a red wire with a cap hook up to the CRT-tv tube.U just require a soldering iron and a roll of solders and know how to do basic soldering? Most of the times just require resoldering for FBT-for stronger highvoltage output for the Flyback transformer. The video board CRT-tv tube sockets pins in the connected them both, will solved the problems.
