Sounds like there is a loose wire connection. Have you contacted the manufacturer?

It could be a problem with the board as that on/off button is one complete unit with the board, digital display and buttons attached. If you want to fix it yourself get your model number (FBC212) and head over to 1800Parts.com to see if they have the board in stock. You can also call Krups directly and they will tell you a service station in your area. We are one of their national service stations but we are in New York.

Normally this is quite simple two screws hold the element on. If its warped the you could cut it out with a junior hacksaw. Try not to breath in the dust from same. Its possible that you are interesnting in the User Guide here, or contact the Krups Service Appliance.

if there is a open circuit the lever will not stay down. hold the lever down check if the elements glow , most times it costs more to fix then a new one.

Make sure you have AC at the wall-plug by plugging in another appliance there. If not, you may have a tripped GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter). If power is there, a thermal fuse, now common in many 'hot' appliances, may have failed. you have a relay failure . its real common on all digital ovens in general after looking up yours , there are no inside parts made for this oven . this is another problem with all "made in china " appliances THERES JUST NO PARTS! anywhere ! see what your warranty will do , if thats no good, some krups appliances can be sent back for "repair " its not realy repaired just replaced at a reduced cost . i wish you luck .........Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . Simplest answer here is to contact the original manufacturer. If it is an old oven most good repair shops can find or replace the timer knob. Costs will depend on where you buy it and if you pay to have the repair done.
