How do I clean the electrolux oven? It won't start after i take the racks out

As you did not specify the exact model I assume that this is a self-cleaning oven, in other words with pyrolytic cleaning. It has a microswitch which is activated by removing the racks and just because that you can not run the pyrolytic cleaning otherwise racks would be destroyed. Do not forget that the temperature during pyrolytic cleaning is app. 500 degrees Celsius. For that reasons the oven door is locked when temperature increasing to app. 300 degrees and unlocked when the temperature decreasing to the app. 200 degrees. It is clear that when you remove the racks only program that you can run is pyrolytic cleaning. Dado

Electrolux Icon range won't self clean - "Remove Racks" displayed

Good Morning Friend, I understand you are unable to self-clean your Electrolux Icon range, model# E30SO75ESS, due to it stating "Remove Racks", when you already have. Please follow these instructions for cleaning your oven: 1. Remove the turntable from the oven before the Refresh Cycle. No food should be in the oven. 2. The Refresh Cycle is 30 minutes. 3. During the Refresh Cycle some smoke and odor may occur. Open a window or use the ventilation fan in the room. If this does not help, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging your appliance or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try the "Refresh cycle". I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards- WP

Good Afternoon Friend, I understand that you are having trouble with your Electrolux Icon oven, model# E30SO75ESS, and running the self-clean cycle. How do i unlock the hindge when door is out

This is quite tricky to explain, did you lock hinge before removal, if so then should be easy to put back in. It is very difficult to unlock hinge once taken from oven and can potentially destroy door glass if you try! You can try to unlock but will need some pump pliers, but best not to try unless experienced How do take the door off of my oven for cleaning from Appliance... Warmest regards Richard The Repairman

EW30IS6CJS model f11 error code. What does it mean

Hi Julie! Thanks for posting your concerns online. I would strongly recommend contacting Electrolux directly if you have not done so already. The unit is well within the warranty period and should really be diagnosed by a professional. The code you are experiencing typically indicates a control communication error. This can be between the unit's control board (brain) and the rest of the unit or the wiring harness itself that relays these communications.

When trying the clean mode on the oven, it locked

Hi Jim, thank you for your post! Once you have the flipped the circuit breaker it is important to wait roughly ten to fifteen minutes. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, you range could be experiencing a communication error with the EOC (electronic oven control), faulty door lock assembly, or could have wiring failure. In that case, a certified technician would generally replace the faulty part after proper diagnosis.

F23 err

Good Morning Edward - Typically error code E-21 indicates an issue with the preheat temperature not reaching within 30 minutes. This often occurs due to heat loss around the oven capacity. At this point, the convection heating element, convection heater thermal cutout, oven thermal sensor, and wiring connections may be faulty. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. I would strongly recommend connecting with a professional to narrow down the precise issue before investing in parts that may or may not be the root cause.

HOW TO CLEAN THE GLASS DOORS

Hello larryjkelly - This may or may not be specifically for you model, however below are generic instructions that I found on how to take your oven door apart to remove any stains that may be caught down in the door vents.

Tools needed: good Phillips head screwdriver or small quad bit driver.

A. Open Door remove 2 screws and washers on door lining at door hinge area.

B. With door in broil stop position lift door assembly off hinges.

C. Lay door on table, position so that handle hangs freely over edge of table

D. Remove 2 screws and washers that secure handle to lining assembly.

E. Remove 8 screws that attach textured steel door wrapper trim to lining assembly 3 at top, 3 at bottom, 1 on each side.

F. Lift door lining up and out of wrapper trim assembly.

G. Lay lining assembly on table with wool shield/inner part of lining facing up.

H. Remove 2 glass clamps via 2 screws per clamp. These clamps attach innermost clear glass to wool shield.

I. Lift out center clear glass from wool shield, this glass just lies onto the wool shield and is held in place by the glass/ clamps in item H. J. Clean each glass with appropriate cleaner, Windex, bon ami, fantastic, etc.

K. One glass that remains in door lining assembly can at this time be cleaned without further disassembly the lining assembly.

L. Reassemble in reverse order.

I do hope this proves to be helpful.

Screw is just spinning when trying to remove oven rack for self cleaning any suggestions please

Yes, in most cases you can slip a pair of needle nose vice grips or just plain vice grips over the head of the screw in question and pull outward while you are unscrewing at the same time. You can do this with pliers as well it is just a little more difficult. Also you can try a very thin piece of metal like a knife blade or screwdriver to get under the head of the screw to pry it up while you unscrew it at the same time. Please rate my solution it is how i get my achievements.

Probe light keeps flashing on

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I removed all the racks

There is a button on the top receiver bracket on the left side... when you take the rack support bracket out you will see it. Take a damp sponge and go over that area, pressing the plunger/button in several times. That should do it. Sometimes grease build up can prevent the button from popping out all the way, so the oven thinks that the racks are still in there.

We have an Electrolux Icon

There is a small white plastic triangular switch that needs to be in the out position for the oven to recognize that the racks have been taken out. Look at the back left side WITHIN the upper rack support channel. (This is not the small U-shaped piece that can be seen slightly lower on the wall oven.) If the switch is still depressed, with power turned off at the breaker, depress the switch using a small screwdriver. It should pop outwards to the proper "racks out" position. When we had this problem and recycled the power, we again got the signal. Husband switched to a nonconductive tool and repeated the depressing/releasing of the switch while the oven was giving the "remove racks" command. It sensed that all was well and now operates properly. If this does not fix the problem, you may have to replace a board $$$.

F11 error on electrolux icon

The F10 F11 F12 F13 F14 Error Codes indicate that the electronic oven control board senses a runaway temperature condition in the oven through the oven sensor circuit.
This can be caused by a faulty oven temperature sensor probe or a failed electronic control board.
Oven temperature is detected by the control board as it monitors the resistance through the oven temperature sensor circuit.
You could have a failed oven temperature sensor, a wiring harness failure, an open thermal switch or a failed electronic oven control board that would cause this problem.
The first component to check would normally be the oven temperature sensor probe.
If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can shut off the breaker for the range and remove the screws that mount this sensor to the back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the wire harness into the oven cavity until you get to the wire harness disconnect plug.
You should have enough slack to pull it this far into the oven.
Disconnect the sensor but do not let the wire harness retract back through the back wall of the oven or it will be hard to reconnect.
Measure the resistance of the oven temperature sensor with your volt/ohm meter. At room temperature, the resistance should measure around 1100 ohms.
The resistance chart is shown in the image below.

If the resistance is above 2200 ohms at room temperature, then the sensor probe is causing the F10 error code and will need to be replaced.

You can order a new sensor probe from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the sensor is 316217002.

If the resistance is normal, then one of the other causes mentioned above is producing your F10 code.
You would need to access the electronic oven control board (Timer) in the console and check the resistance at the sensor circuit connection to the control board as the next step in troubleshooting this problem.

There appears to be a film on the inside oven door

if this is between the glass you are going to have to remove the glass and clean it... the most common reason for this is poor sealing the door liner or insulation in the door is failing ... if you also selk clean the oven often the excessive heat will cause this.. its a fairly easy process to fix just requires a little patience and time... good luck
