The lube might dried out, and the hard ball bearing had worn into the soft brass that the tube was made from. Relubing, and replacing the ball bearing with one of a larger diameter, can cure the problem.

Are you using the phono input on the Sony? If so, you're getting too much gain, you've already got a phono pre amp in the Behringer. Try using the tape or C.D. input. That should solve it.

Thanks for using FixYa. If it does not have power at all then please check the power cable and try using another power cable. Also check all the cables coming and leaving the Stanton STR 8-60 Turntable. Many turntables need to be earthed to a pin of the back of the amplifier. Kindly make sure the Truntable is grounded and the Pre-amp connection is firmly connected. Please do let me know if you are using the Turntable with the PC.

I suggest you contact the MUSONIC web site. They specialise in cartridges and styli.
No power cable
There is no polarisation on the input lead - It won't hurt the deck if you get it reversed. If you have a shaver lead that fits, that should be fine.

My Stanton STR8-60 is not tuned correctly. I need help trying to get it to hold the right rpm for the platter.
