I looked at another simuilar Detector and read on Digital Compass Calibration and through the process of elimination found that if I Press CITY for 3 sec.'s COMPASS CALIBRATION showed on the display. Then it says TURN YOUR VEHICLE SLOWLY 2 TIMES to CALIBRATE. Then press the CITY button to complete the calibration. Done. It worked my Early Warning EW-3400 Radar Detector's Compass is now Calibrated.
Thanks for asking.

Well besides the obvious of voice off/on the speaker could be blown. I have one of these units but have not cracked it open. My speaker has blown twice on my passport 9500i and I just replaced it myself. It's out of warrantee and Escort wouldn't send me a speaker, so I got one from radio shack and that worked for a while, then blew. I used a laptop internal speaker now and that works great ! BTW if the speaker on this unit is soldered to the board good luck, like I said I haven't cracked my ew3100 open yet.

I would probably say vg2 no, spectre yes. This unit is decent, in fact i really like the 1-9 and how accurate it is with the proximity. I have a $450 detector that is horrible at judging the distance to the source of the radar. Anyway it has been my observation that this unit irritates other detectors more so than others, which is a sign of a leaky detector. Also if it detects pop, i noticed that the pop is always on, and the falses on pop are very minimal compared to other units..

Supply voltage is the positive voltage supplied by the vehicle's battery + or positive post typically 12 volts. the other side is negative, if you are hard wiring an accessory in, make sure to go to your fuse panel, use a multimeter to verify it turns off with the key then get a fuse tap at a local parts store to connect.

Hello.
The replacement Cord is a 12v, 200 Milliamp Type. Use a higher rated Amperage cord to be safe. The instruction Manual is available from the link below http://www.ziddu.com/download/15859094/1510-1530man.pdf.html

This is not something to try unless you have a ton of engineering expertise, and hundreds of thousands of dollars for test equipment. High frequency RF signals are some of the most challenging electrical engineering problems that exist.

Speed cameras usually are located either at intersections or along roadways. Many red light camera models used at traffic intersections also function as speed cameras. These speed cameras will mail you a speeding citation if the camera thinks that you are speeding. Your GPS navigator is warning you about nearby speed cameras. It displays red as you approach the speed camera location where you could get an automatic electronic ticket if you are speeding.
