Red power light blinking on my denon avr 1907,

This is a protection mode. The receiver protection circuit detects an internal problem like missing power supply voltage or blown channel and shuts down the receiver. You need to bring the unit to a repair facility.

It's impossible to tell from here if your sensor is even compatible with the new Denon but if you look at the manual you will find mention of RC-616 and RC-617 on page 19; and a REMOTE CONTROL IN on the back of the unit.

My outside volume control heats

It has a serious electrical problem. Keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Can i hook up two subwoofers to a denon avr 1907

Sure, just get an RCA splitter and share the Sub Pre-Out with the two self-powered subs or one amp powering two of them.

Hi. I've got a Denon AVR-1907

Have you considered your source may be the problem if the receiver isn't?

You say setup is correct. If so it would work, no?

Trace your TV audio back to its source. Where's it coming from? Is there some control (volume) involved?

My $.02. You should be getting TV-related audio from its source. NOT the TV itself. TV audio componentry and speakers are bare bones basic.

NO POWER

There are no more fuses that will make this work.Turn off power and disconnection the primary side of the power transformer (the big one) check with a ohm meter,it should read all most a short,if it reads nothing you have a defective power transformer. The transformer will be bad if you get no standby light at all, that is if all fuses are good.

I have had my Denon AVR-1907 for about 20 months.

You will have to check with a volt/ohm meter the + and - 15volt regulator ics in the power supply if they are off by more then 3 volts it will shut down as soon as it is turned on,and you still will have a flashing red light. also you may want to check the output transistors for shorts if your regulator ics are good.

The receiver will not stay on. Has a flashing

Need more info here but it sounds like you have a short one one of your speaker wires that is sending the receiver into protect mode. The other option is that volume is too loud on zone one or two especially of you have multiple speakers hooked up to zone 2 and the ohm loads are becoming unstable.

How do I hook up a turntable

You may have two possibilities depending on the configuration of the turntable.
Your Denon should have inputs marked for 'Aux,' 'Line' and possibly, if it is built with the expectation of use with a turntable, 'Mag' or 'Magnetic.'
Your turntable may have a 'Line' output or only a shielded cable carrying a very small voltage from the magnetic head. I assume the pickup is magnetic and not crystal which has a much higher output level but also a higher impedance that requires a matching input.
You should have any of the above outputs in pairs and if the color coding conforms to current standards, there should be in- and outputs marked with red (right channel) and white (left channel).
I would first try connecting the turntable's leads to the 'Line' input since most later turntables have a small amplifier circuit built in that will take the signal from the pickup, amplify it, and match it to the levels and impedance of the line input on the Denon.
There isn't any danger of making a fatal mistake and you should hear right away if there is excessive distortion or a loudness even when the level is set to a low setting; this implies that the output from the turntable is higher than that input wants to see.
