call 310 327 2151..ask for support..they're going to ask you for the original purchaser's name..and maybe his or her mother's maiden name..after that the'll walk you thru setting up another security disc for the system..takes about 10 min...just did it yesterday...

Try to reset your radio by romving the power completly on it. Restart it with your map dvd inside and wait for the update. When its updated , go in the gps screen. and start your car, turn around your block 3-4 time and sometime it relocate alone. ill try to check in my user manual, there is a way to tell the gps your exact location on the map , click it and make it your current posotion. Why it does that? Cause maybe your map dvd is not up to date , and your area isn't updated in your map dvd.

Hi,, just to be sure.. you have your map dvd in your radio while trying your gps right?

is the car in park? There is a manual override that must be done, as it is against the law to have video playing in the driver's view.
Put car in park and apply parking brake. Retry.

you need the map disc, the map disc has the security key on it.

I had the same problem the wire colors should be labeld on the unit, what i did was i took the black *ground* and connected it to the negative terminal of my car battery, and I took the red *B+ aka power* and the yellow *its labeled battery backup* and i connected it to the positive terminal and the screen came on.

When I had my 5500 installed, I had the guy put in a switch so I could use the DVD while driving. A few months ago I accidentally hit the switch. I was getting Grey and could only use certain items. So the wire you have that is used to block use of DVD an part Nav during driving may be shorting out or hooked on the wrong spot.

Go to manufacture's site and get the wiring diagram, because it sound like you have wiring problems. Goodluck.
