Try to Update your driver may it will work for you here are the easiest step for updating the drivers:

Connect your device to the PC using data Cable (USB cable)
Now On Desktop of you PC
Right click on My computer icon and select Properties
Click on Device Manager
(Or follow Start button --> Control Panel --> Device Manager)

Have you tried resetting it to check if it's going to correct the problem?

At the back bottom right corner you will find a reset button/hole. Try to reset it then see what happens, if not, you might want to check with the store where you got it from so that you can have it replaced.

To download/copy the music from the MW3837 you'll need to connect it with the computer using the USB cable. After it is connected go to My Computer-> MW3837 player-> copy the music from here and paste it on to the local drive. Disconnect the MW3837 player and open the itunes. Connect the ipod and now add the music in itunes library by either browsing or by dragging it into the library. After the music is added into the library sync the ipod with itunes and now the new music would be copied to your ipod. Hope this helps... Under windows explorer, click on the drive for the player. Switch between the usb and mtp mode from the side of the player. You should see music from both modes and just delete the ones you don't want.

look for a manual online. next time, tell him not to throw away the manual because those can be handy in times like this

Under windows explorer, click on the icon for the mp3 player. On the mp3 player, switch between the Usb and Mtp mode (The M button). You should see songs from both modes.

try
these steps:
1.plug your pen drive in your computer.
2.then open Control panel.
3. open administrative tools.
4.open Computer Management
5. a window label computer management will appear.
6. click disk management
7.locate you pendrive and select delete partition or format it fat 32 or other format convenient for your usage.

sounds like its defective i just loaded my music straight from WMP return it and get a new one.

Big problem there! There's a good chance the battery is dead - & with those LI batteries when their dead, that 's it.

You can either buy a new player, or if you can get it apart replace the regular LI battery with an external nicad set - just make sure you know the volts.

1) plug in
2) go to "my computer" or "computer"(vista+)
3) look for an extra drive, should be labled GPX
4) double click the extra drive
5) drag music files there

For such a problem , you should take your device to a repairer shop , so that they can fix it . .

Call GPX tech support line at 888-999-4215, they are likely to send you a new one.

Make sure you have installed the PC drivers properly,you can try uninstalling them one by one and then reinstall.
Go to the device manager and see if any hardware has yellow exclamation mark,if there is,right click and Disable or uninstall from the properties and restart the PC.
If the problem still persists...try reinstalling the windows OS again.
