How think is this tv and is it wall mount able

It is wall mountable with a VESA Mount: 400 x 200 mm according to the installation guide (600 x 200 mm in the specs). The depth without stand is not given; other Magnovox TFT LCD televisions are about 5-6" in depth (4.9" for the 42MF439B/F7 )

A compatible wall mount is here: http://amazon.skakawack.com/Silver-Tilting-Wall-Mount-Bracket-for/M/B0019D4K6M.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=froogle .

I hope this helps.

Will not come on if

A weak power supply is the signal I'm getting. One of the first concerns would be to find one or two bad capacitors as the culprit. Always, on the first level of repair is to consider bad caps. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Is the TV's name Damien??
I think it's the main power supply. This happens far too often on new sets.

I have sound but no picture screen is black 19inch

I cannot say enough about this model. There is a bad capacitor or two in this set. You should be looking for a buldged cap at maybe 25 or 35 volts at 2200Mfs. Replace this and the next one near would be a 35 volt at 1200 Mfs. I have a question for you, if the model number is 42 MF, the screen is large. And yet you say it has a 19 inch screen. I'm not sure if you have the large TV or the small TV. The answer I give you is for the large screen. Hope this helps you! Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Magnavox 37MF437B/37. Been a great

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems the issue is with the power board or the main board and we’ll need to check few things. When you open the unit up; take a look at the power board-the board where the power cords/plugs goes into. You might see some filter capacitors a little bulged up in the top-If this is the case-this is your defective part(you can try to replace them-but some soldering equipment is needed). If not, then probably the main board has gone bad. This is the other board-where all the inputs are going into. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components. Please note that the TV components consists high voltages even when in off position. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
