E:61:10 is flashing and zoom

Listen, I know you are not going to believe this, but the lens is stuck because there is something binding it. The most popular method for freeing this up is to smack the lens about three times, not real hard, but give it a couple of good ones and this should free it up. After you do this make sure to hold it lens down in case something needs to fall out and clear itself out. You should be good to go. I am not kidding, this works...

In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

I am unable to figure out how to delete movies

You can delete files on DVD-RW disc only if it is not finalized.
If DVD-RW is finalized you need to format it through format option in menu.

DVD-RW ( DVD Re-Writable)
Thanks.

Error Message E:61

Error code E:61 indicates a problem in the focus mechanism. The most likely cause for this is a zoom or focus lens out of place or impaired in some way. This will require disassembling the camera to remove the lens assembly and then disassembling the lens block to repair. This can be done fairly inexpensively but it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired by a qualified service technician.

I have a Sony Handycam

The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the camera body and will require disassembling the camera and LCD assembly to repair. This can be done fairly inexpensively but it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired by a qualified service technician.

I dropped my sony camcorder

Mine was run over by our excavator. I went to Best Buy and the tech department stated that the discs have to be finalized in the camcorder. I called Sony and they said the same thing but that I could sent the discs to them and they would finalized them for $60 per side. I got on ebay and bought the exact same model for $60 and finalized all the discs.

Sony dcr-dvd408 can't open the

This can be due to failure of the loading motor mechanism . Since you are hearing the clicking sound , it is possible that the motor is working to the command from the processor but there is failure in the mechanical drive., This can be due to pulley slipping , gear failure or belt failure.
Unless the camera is opened to remove the covers and get access to the mechanism , the exact fault cannot be confirmed.

I have a Sony Handicam

Base from the description of your problem it seems that the unit encounter a mechanical failure because of not being use for a long period of time.

What we can try here first is to do a reset on your unit, you can do that by pressing the reset button using a pen or a paper clip for 30 seconds and then power OFF and power back ON the unit and see if that will correct the issue also when you power it OFF you take the battery out for 1 minute then put it back in and power ON.

I have a handycam 25x

Hi well we have a "little bit of a pickle" as they say, it would appear that the disc has failed in some way or at least the handycam thinks so.
What to do, well IF the data has been actually burnt to the disc, then yes perhaps one may recover some data, you will need a recovery program that "Mounts" a disc regardless of format etc, and copy bit by bit back to the PC and then try to recover files. Once on the PC then perhaps they can be resurrected?
There is a program called unstopable copier, that may work, however many data recovery programs, simply Google for them, try the free ones first before purchasing any, these too may work, it just maybe a case of trying them one after another to see if any of them will work. The data is still there and parts maybe able to be recovered, however it will take some considerable work to do so.
If they are really important then perhaps you may entertain a professional data recovery place, these usually can guarantee a result of some sorts, or one usualy doesn't have to pay?
