Do a reset to this set and check. To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. If you mean the blue color spectrum isn't there and you are using component cables, check both ends of the blue connections to make sure they are pushed all the way in.

Hi! - if your using component cabels (red blue and green) make sure all of them are plugged into the right sockets on the tv

The usual suspects include main and other boards it is connected to up to and including a defect inside the display panel itself which is of course fatal.

Unfortunately there is no service manual availabe with me for this model but I think the fault seems related to a reset or even a poor solder joint in the processor section. so to start off it will be best to try and see if the set works fine with a good cooling within, if so heat up the processor area as a simulation to make the fault come up. If so try and solder the IC pins and connector ends, use a good observation lamp to check along with a good soldering iron or station.
Attempt only if you have worked with such boards or it can be tampered with a wrong move.

This type of issue is usually caused by blown capacitors on the power supply board. If you wan to do the repair yourself then go to our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm and look at the pictures of what to look for in your monitor. Now open the unit and look for the power supply board, replace all parts hat look like the pictures and have even slightly bulging tops. This is an all too common problem these days.

Your tv has suffered from capacitor failure.
This is affecting thousands upon thousands of people, as the companies that made all of these junk capacitors decided to leave them in circulation rather than pull them and make good ones.

See, what happened is, back in 1995 or so, a group of about 15 electronics parts manufacturers were making cheap capacitors.
Well, they collaborated on research and development, and that was a big problem.
They had come up with a new formula for the gel inside the capacitors.
Unfortunately, their math was wrong, and about 5,000,000 parts were made and put into distribution before they figured out that they were all junk.
Now, rather than pull the bad parts off the market, they chose instead to do nothing, in the hopes that the parts would somehow magically work as if they were good ones.

Well, they failed miserably, some of the parts are going out within just weeks, hile others are only lasting within 2 to 3 years.
That is about 1/10th of how long the are supposed to last.
About 25 to 30 years is the life cycle for a good quality capacitor, not months.
Now, I know this sounds real bad, but at least there are places out there that have specialists trained to do the repairs.
Fry's, BestBuy, Radio Shack,Staple's, and CompUSA all have people that have been trained to do this exact repair.
Now, before you pay to have it fixed, you will want to have estimates made, because you may find that it is actually cheaper to buy a new set rather than pay to get the old one fixed.
I know this sounds bad, but at least it can be repaired if you choose top do so.

I hope this helps you to not only know what is wrong, but now you know why it failed, and what you can do to resolve this.

Good luck to you, and have a good day.
