Sounds don't align with lip movement

if you are saying that your tv has no sound to match the lips movements then you will have to get a tech to repair your tv the problem is in the audio circuit could be a cap or the audio output ic.if you are saying that the tv has sound but it is not syncronizing with the lip movements have your tech check the sync circuit it is possible that the operating voltage is too small to allow the sync circuit to operate.good luck my friend.

Use component cables instead of hdmi cables. I know this isn't the best solution, but HDCP is not used over component and the video quality is just about as good.

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and precious time.

Hello
The power supply section of this TV is faulty. Just look it for any bulged capcitors in it. If there are, replace them with same type and capacity.gopakumarg43_38.jpg This is not the power supply of your tV, but incuded here to give you an idea about how a bulged capacitor will look like. If there is nothing such, the oscillator frequency of the power supply changes after some time, and shuts OFF. This fault cannot be repaired as it is related with the SMPS transformer in it, and it cannot be bought from open market. Replacing the power supply section as card basis is the only remdy to this fault.
This card can be bought from either local electronic spare part shops at your town, of from the authorised service center for Westinghouse. OK.

Screen freezes and wont come back

Also damaged capacitors can cause a slow dieing effect to the display, from what I have seen during my research efforts to find solution for repairs to computers people have bought to me. I have only seen "dead" display lcd monitors that have repaired ok by replacing the $1 capacitors.

I have a Westinghouse Sk-26h240s TV and it doesn't start, that was before a shut down of electricity of the house, how can we fix it? It has 4 years with us

I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.Answers to issues:1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not. Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom. What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.4_23_2012_6_21_35_pm.jpg

This is typical with many sets when it goes old as there is a high possibility that the components over a period of heating and cooling, tend to bring on a problem of dry soldering. So my advice is to check the set for some loose joints that have played on to give you these erratic shut downs or poor performance.

The best way to check for loose connections is to tap lightly when the set is powered on , If there is change while tapping then it seems that there are DRY solder joints. Remove main plug, the covers - with caution of high voltage, check for dry joints, use a good soldering iron to solder all suspected points.

Sometimes the fault occurs when the set warms up, if so you can simulate the heat using a hair dryer on the suspected areas, try with the power supply, distribution, Processor controller, driver controllers on the A/V related sections. Also the use a FREEZE-IT spray can simulate the components to cool and show up the fault.

Based on the above method you must be able to locate the area of fault and solder the sections. Sometimes large IC's- ones with more pins- tend to have drying in some pins and so cause faults related to the IC's protocol. Have a rough idea of looking into the areas to reduce the time of probing.

Only blue light comes on

I'm having the same issue right now with the same model. Troubleshooting the powersupply shows me that there is no 24VDC coming out of the power supply which I believe is used to power the back light inverter board for the picture. I'm not a tv repair person but have a background in electronics troubleshooting. Only wish I had a service manual to prove what I think is the problem. I know its not the best answer but maybe it will point you in the right direction, at least until an expert answers.
