Hello
Unforcuately Sharp ahs not provided a MENU button on the front panel of your TV. Therefore you can't adjust its picture control. Contact the nearest Sharp authorised serive center, gove them the model number of your TV, and try to get an orginal one. Insist on orginal, not a universal remote. OK.

I do hope that you have gotten this resolved. But if you have any other questions or for the future, here are some easy steps to run through. Usually this is caused by a formatting issue. There is a format button on your remote (The star * button below the 7 on the numeric keypad). You will want to press and release this button until the screen is the size that you want it to be.

Unplug it for about an hour and try it again. If it still does not work.
You have power supply problem either due to bad DC filter caps or short circuits in the power supply or the backlight inverter board.

Your video adapter will only supply video input from your computer to your television. You must use an audio cable from the audio out of your computer (that would be the jack that you would normally plug your computer speakers into) to the audio input jack of your television shown below.

To do this, you will need a double male 1/8" stereo sable audio cable seen below.

One end plugs into your computer audio out and the other end into the audio jack shown in the illustration. You will then get your computer audio through your television speakers. You will be able to control the sound both with the television audio and the computer audio settings.

If you mean you've connected your computer to a VGA connector on the TV so you can use the TV as a monitor, not getting sound would be normal. The VGA input on the TV is video only. Any sounds the computer produces would still come only from the speakers you have connected to the computer. There isn't any problem that needs to be corrected.

If I'm not understanding your request, please post a follow-up comment and I'll try to help you further.
