Plug your
mp3 player into the
computer using a
USB cable. Make sure you only have the one MP3 player plugged in, and no flash drives or
cameras, etc.
There may be a button on your MP3 player that sets the mode to MTP or
USB or Ready Mode. Make sure the setting is at MTP.
Open My Computer from the start menu. There should be a list of drives and document folders. You should see a drive labeled "removable
storage" or "_____-Audio Player", (_____ may be your name or the name of the mp3 player).
Double click that drive. You may now see something to the effect of "SD/MMC Card" and or "
Audio Player" or the name of your MP3 Player. You may also see files that say "Music" or even the music files themselves.
Double click on "Audio Player" if you do not have music on your SD/MMC Card (or if you just don't have one in your MP3 player).
If there is no "Audio Player" file, click on "Music" or the next best looking folder (it won't harm your computer or MP3 player if you look in all the folders). This should open up into Music files or a folder labeled Music. Double click this folder. Inside you should see all the music (or videos) that is on the MP3 player. Delete the music folders and files, but be careful not to delete anything else. The folders should be labeled by Artists, then Albums, then finally the actual music files. Delete all the Artists, albums, etc, to remove the music.
If you can't find the music files using my instructions, look in the folders of your MP3 player until you find them. Also, remember to have your MP3 player set to MTP mode if it is available.
Hope this helps.
