The harness should not have been completely removed from the carseat in order to remove the fabric. If the harness has been completely removed we cannot advise that you re-thread it due to the safety implications of it being incorrectly done. The grey tensioner strap appears to be stitched in place but it isn't. Follow it around under the bottom of the carseat and the strap is in a piece of plastic catch shaped like an H on it's side. Wiggle one way then the other to unhook from this catch, and the carseat fabric can be removed (where the grey circle part is the fabric is tucked underneath slightly, once you've unhooked the tensioner strap you'll be able to get the fabric off easily).

Hand washing is recommended, but if you have delicate or handwash cycle on machine this is also suitable. Use a mild detergent and maximum temp 30 degrees for washing. Do not tumble dry: Do not leave in direct sunlight to dry. Ensure fabric is completely dry before putting it back on for use as damp fabrics may result in mould or mildew growth.

Remember never remove the harness straps from the carseat, the fabrics can be completely removed while the harness remains in place!

The Maxi Cosi CabrioFix can be fitted without any base, using the 3 point seatbelt: With the EasyFix base, using IsoFix points or 3 point seatbelt: With the EasyBase and EasyBase 2 using the 3 point seatbelt. It cannot be used with the Mico carseat base as they are not designed to be used together. The Mico is available in US and does not meet UK standards: Likewise the CabrioFix does not meet US standards so they should never be used together.

If you don't know how to fit the carseat into your vehicle using the 3 point seatbelt please check your user manual, or download a replacement copy at www.maxi-cosi.com before use go to an authorised retailer to check it is correctly installed as this will affect the performance of the carseat.

The lumbar support wedge should go in the CabrioFix carseat with the thicker part at the back. The idea is that for a very young baby it provides a flatter seat, keeping the spine, hips and neck in more of a straight line than a sitting position. The lumbar support wedge should be used for a newborn baby up until between 4 and 6 months old to provide optimum safety in the event of an impact and to make baby as comfortable as possible while in the carseat.

By the belt straps I think you mean the harness pads? Undo the harness and they will slide down the length of the harness and you will then need to push the plastic clip section through the harness pads.

There are two hoops of elastic at either end of the sun canopy - these hook in behind the knuckles of the bar that goes over the carseat (the carry handle/roll bar). Once you've hooked them in (it is fiddly, but possible) you can then tuck the rest of the fabric in between the plastic at the back of the carseat and the carseat fabric.

If you can't do it, pop it into a local retailer and ask them to give you a hand.
