You enter dfu mode so iTunes can detect an iPhone in recovery mode and then prompt you to restore. You will lose all your files when you do this but if you have a backup in iTunes then you're good to go. To enter dfu mode, just press both power and home buttons simultaneously for exactly 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the power but keep holding home then wait until iTunes detects your iphone and prompt you to restore.

if you have synced your iPhone to iTunes on a computer before and have not synced it after you deleted your data, you can get it back. But iTunes can't help.

You need to get a third party iPhone data recovery software like Tenorshare iTunes Data Recovery, which helped me recover deleted data from iPhone 4s before.

You can get it from http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/itunes-data-recovery.htm

I had this exact problem too - same as the first two posts anyway.

It seems to be just a software issue and was easily resolved for me with a full power off and reboot. Here is how to do that safely.

Plug in the phone using the wall socket charger, leave it for a few hours to get a charge (i know it doesn't look like its charging). Later, press the on/off button. The battery icon appears with just a thin red line. Let it go back to black. Then press the the on/off button and the menu button simultaneously for about 8 seconds. A red button should appear on the screen with a question asking if you want to power off the phone. Say yes. (I think it was a slide bar, but can't remember now.) Wait a few secs while the phone powers off. Then remove the power plug from the phone. Now reinsert the power plug. After a few (worrying) seconds of nothing, a white Apple logo appears in the middle of the screen, a few more seconds and the iphone main menu appears. No data has been lost, no settings are altered, and best of all, the battery shows a full charge and seems to be back to normal again.

It is the easiest and quickest way to delete apps from iPhone directly. All you need to do is go to the main screen. If you have saved a lot of apps in your iPhone, and want to delete them, you can directly delete them on your iPhone. The steps below will show you how to delete apps from iPhone directly.
  1. You only need to keep touching the icon of the app until it wiggles with an X at the upper left corner.
  2. Then tap the X and choose "Delete" in the pop-up dialog. You will get the apps deleted with no efforts.
delete-app-iphone-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-5-0.png To delete an app, tap the X, then tap Delete in the dialog the displays. Note that doing so deletes not only the app, but also all of its data. So if you think you'll need an app again soon, and you have stored data, settings or completed levels for it, you might want to think twice before tapping that X.
