I don't see any reason why you could not do that.

Can you run the camcorder with the charger only? you should have additional cord that allows you to plug into charger directly into the camcorder and run it from the wall outlet bypassing the battery. This is important because it will help me determine the problem.

This is a specialty repair that requires a highly trained technician with the right equipment to do this type of job, depending on how old the unit is will determine if parts are available, is it economical to replace the heads? the answer is no! your money would be better spent on new camcorders because the cost of repair will be more than a new one.

No . In the screen it will come on Black & white mode only. But when you make it in disk & play on CD player then it will come in color.

Samsung Video... | Answered on Jan 28, 2011

To do this, you have to change the lightning mode to night mode.
When it is in this mode, you might notice some slow response and blurry vision on the screen depending on the camera.
All you have to do is to be careful so you can capture clear pictures or videos.
Hope this helps you? Please comment for more information and thank you for using fixya

You could have a bad or corrupt video codec. The following website has a great, free program that should help:
Otherwise, you could have a problem with the CCD (image detector), or shutter, and in that case, it will need servicing. You can take it into a local camera repair shop for an estimate, or contact Samsung support online:
Good luck, and hope this helps.

Not enough information in your query. I don't know what camera you have or what your problem is exactly.

If you are looking for a new mains adapter or charger, you can usually find one by searching on Amazon for the model of your camera plus the word "charger". If the camera uses a small lithium battery, there are "Universal" chargers that can be adjusted to fit any of the small batteries used in cameras and phones (though not the really big batteries used in older tape based camcorders).
These are quite cheap, as little as $4 US.

Remove battery/ power source from camcorder for minute, attache battery/ power source to camcorder and check door gets close.
If this does not solve then MiniDV tape mechanism got problem like gear worn out etc and will be replaced by local camera repair shop.
Hope these info will help you.

Not sure you have given me the full model number. There is a manual for download on the Samsung site for a SMX-K40 65x Intelli-Zoom at THIS LINK

This sounds like a power problem. The battery could be nearing the end of it's life (even if a year old, since we never know how long they were on the shelf before being sold). Another problem can be slightly oxidized battery contacts, either on the battery, or inside the camera. Clean them with a qtip and at least 90% isopropyl alcohol.
If neither of these things help, run it by a camera repair shop to see what they think, and get an estimate on repair.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

I don't know where you are reading that it can work as a web cam. If it doesn't mention it in the documentation that came with your camera then it can't.

If you are referring to the YouTube upload feature, that did not mean "live", You record the video first, then upload it with the included software.
