It should only need a new driver installing. If the Iriver came with a disc of drivers you can use that or search on-line for a driver for it. If you can't find one remove it completely from the system and then reinstall it.

It has a rechargeable battery inside the player.Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.You need to remove and replace this battery.

In the bar "select a product" select your player and click GO on the right side. All support for this player will be viewed.
T30 English manual link will show up in the list. On the next page you can download the zip file for either iRiver Plus2 or Windows Media Player.

Not sure if the T30 will work with Windows 7.
It depends on the firmware you have in the player.
Normally Windows Media Player should detect the T30 in MTP mode.
When having firmware that only detects the player in MSC mode, seeing the player as a removable disk: there are MSC drivers available under software&driver ( T30umd.inf ), not sure if they'll work on Windows 7.

after you have downloaded go to my computer / connect the iriver you shoud see another drive appear..and if this is windows xp it really should come up automatic...

the best and cheapest way is to copy a friends software...(its been known that some of free and $ software is worthless)...or if you are still under warranty try Irivier
