There are two modes of use for your player. Once you put music or files on it in one mode you can tell files are there but you can not access them or delete them. So, You have to access the files on the player the way they where put on the player. The modes are Msc & Mtp to see more about this click this link ...Solve your MP3 Player Connection Problem.

Create a folder named "MUSIC" on the card and put the music in there. You can do that with the operating system's explorer, simply drag&drop.

If you put stuff on multiple cards, you can then swap them out easily when you get tired of one type of music.

There is a trick to charging the battery in these small mp3 players. It wont charge if it is turned on, and it won't charges if it's turned off. Here what to do...
1. plug the player into your USB port. or wall charger
2. switch the player on using the mechanical switch (on the side)
3. turn it off by either holding down the play button, or selecting "System" from the menu
4. The screen will go black and the battery will begin charging.

It depends on the firmware version of the player,
to determine the capacity and type SD card you can use.
player's firmware version can not be interchanged

Look in Settings > System Info for your version:
For 01.xx.xx firmware (c200 version 1) - up to 2GB microSD cards
For 03.xx.xx firmware (c200 version 2) - up to 4GB microSDHC cards

The slot is for a microSD card. You can put music on microSD cards to expand the capacity of the Sansa and give yourself a larger selection of music to listen to.
