Its not the tcon board but it could be the main, what does your PSON voltage do, does it go high when the set is on then go low when it shuts off or does that rail stay the same after the screen has went dark?

It is either the backlight or the LED driver board. To confirm, please check the LED drive voltage from LED driver board. If the drive voltage is available, it is the LEDs in backlight causing the problem. More often it is the bad LEDs in the backlight array.

Good Luck.

ok so the problem is not with the power suppkly it is with the leds inside the panel they are in strings and usually only a few of them are your problem see the link for led prices http://www.shopjimmy.com/auo-t390hvn02-2-led-strips-8-strips.htm

Your problem is inside the TV - probably the video driver board or components of it. You also could have a dead fluorescent tube - that is the part that illuminates the screen. LCD displays require a light source. If this is an LED TV then you need a video driver board inside the back of the TV - if you don't know what you are doing, DO NOT OPEN THE BACK OF ANY TV. Take it to a repair shop. If it is under warranty, turn it in for service.

Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Sounds like The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.
Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; to which you want set-up codes; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window" to get gathered related posts.

sorry tv number does not match any on search. plasma tvs can be a pain to diagnose, but usually if its in cycle mode, it will be a regulator chip on the voltage side. and the voltage regulator on main controller for the Y board cycle mode is its trying to turn on the back light and the voltage is either to high or too low. can also be voltage is in ac when it needs to be dc. as there is a mix on board parts this can be the bridge rectifier. left side board there are a few parts on this board that can need replacing if it has gone wrong. there are repair kits for this board you will just need to find them. an LG i repair, the parts had to come from china as they were not available anywhere else. but these fixed the power problem.

That is more likely to be a power board issue. Most common is a swelled C802 box capacitor on the power supply board. Take a look at that first. If looks even slightly buldged or bubbled, replace that board first. Otherwise a short on any board can cause the relay to click. The control board is least likely to have a dead short

The Video (Picture) is SEPERATE from the Audio component of the TV. One can work when the other has gone south. From what I see, the Audio controller board may have been damaged somehow and needs to be replaced. Contact a serviceman for details.
