the dvd is only playing sound with no pictures and is showing mode not supported on the screen. it was showing pictures before and i dont know if i have mistakly touch the wrong button. [dvd home theater sound system SA-PT850]

The manual says its for a VCR I guess back then DVD wasen't mainstream yet. So my question is can I connect my new DVD payer to the Old Sony using that S-video connection?
