I need instructions on hookup to Comcast Cable

I'm sure Comcast will be more then happy to direct you on phone step by step on how to do this... I'm sure you pay them every month.. don't you.Best way I'd hook up is through the 5 RCA jacks monster cable.3 for picture... green red and blue. then the 2 red and white for sound. match colors cable box TV.if asking to connect direct cable to box.. your tv will pick up either some or nothing. you still need the Comcast cable box.

I have Picture but no

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors. Many electronics companies were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$???????

2. Open your TV and find PSB. Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found at tv-part.com but supplies are limited.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

I have a tip/tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It's called: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Hope this helps and Good luck.

My Philips 20pf5120 TV has

I'm assuming that by blinking you mean that the led is blinking - if the screen is blinking then the problem is with the CCFL tubes and since these are very hard to find it will be cheaper and easier just to get a new tv.
The led is blinking in only 2 cases: 1 - when there's a command signal active and 2 - when the power source of the tv autooscillates.
1 - appears when: the remote is constantly sending a signal - easy to test, remove the battery; one of the buttons on the tv is busted and constantly on - the volume or the channel will be constantly changing, you would see that; the IR sensor or the processor from the tv is malfunctioning - you must open the tv and test it.
2 -  an capacitor has aged and no longer does its job of filtering the current - you must open the tv to check and replace the faulty one.
If you don't have even the most basic experience in the tv electronics then it's time to call a repairman.

Phillips 20 inch flat tv

usually a blinking led points to your power supply! You will probably find some bad caps (capacitors) on the board. They will look bulged on the top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). sometimes there is more then 1 thing wrong.

Philips 20PF4121 LCD tv no picture but flashing error codes

I had exactly the same problem When the TV was switched on all I could see was a flashing green light. After cheching the TV internals and not seeing a problem including the power supply unit which looked and checked normal. Here is what I did to get M TV working again.
Disconnect it from the power supply. Hold down all the buttons simultaneously i.e. the on/off, the volume, the programme, menu buttons, all of them simultaneously and Plug it into the power supply again.
Lo and behold My TV jumped back into life after an absence of about 4 weeks.
Try it yourself exactly as above.

Best of luck.

Remote codes for dish network remote?

1. Mmanually turn on the device (TV, DVD, etc.)
2. Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the red indicator stays on, then release the CODE SEARCH button.
3. Press and quiclkly release the desired mode button 9TV, DVD, etc.). The red indicator blinks off once.
4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device (TV, DVD, etc.) changes channel. The red indicator blinks once with each button press. Philips LCD 42PFL3603D/F7 won't stay on until I've held the power button in a few times. The display comes on, then I hear a click and it shuts off. After a few cycles of this it stays on

Remove the cover on the back of the tv. Look for swollen or leaking capacitors. They kinda look like batteries. If they are bulging or leaking then that is your problem. You will have to de-solder the old ones off. Then solder the new capacitors onto the circuit board. Capacitors will cost about 20 dollars and installing them isn't that hard to do. It will fix your tv 99% of the time. So it is worth a try!

I have Philips TV mode

I'm assuming that you have checked that the sound is not muted. To confirm that a reset to factory settings is the next procedure: Menu - Setup - General - Factory settings. If you don't see/hear any modifications then it's a hardware defect, not something with the settings.
This happens when the tv thinks that the headphones are used. Simple test to confirm that: plug in a pair of speakers and see if you get the sound on them. If you get and the situation doesn't changes when you unplug them then this is a mechanical defect: the small switch inside the headphone jack is faulty and keeps signaling that the headphones are plugged in when they are not.
The only way to fix that is to replace the jack, which involves a very delicate soldering procedure , one that only a good repairman can do - you must call one.
