Humminbird 595c with the gps
You need to use Humminbird's adapter and the NMEA output and connect your own handheld GPS unit.If your using just the antenna, it will not work.
I just installed a 595c gps on my boat. I used it
If you know of someone else that has the same setup on there boat you can slide your unit on there mounting system and see what you get. This will tell you if it is the unit or the transducer. I would check my voltage to make sure you have 12 volts at the end of your power cable. If you do not know of anyone with the same setup you can contact our Customer Group and they will be glad to help you out. There number is 800-633-1468.
Thanks

Hello,
I will advice you reset your device, to do this, follow this steps, from any view press the MENU button twice to access the tabbed Main Menu System then press the RIGHT cursor key until the Setup tab is selected. Press the DOWN cursor until Restore Defaults is highlighted on the Setup menu. Use the RIGHT
4-way cursor control key to initiate restoring defaults. The Confirm
dialog box will appear. To reset the defaults, press the RIGHT Cursor key once more. Your device should be reset and the problem should be fix.
Take care.
My 997c has a low voltage message on the screen
When you have a low volt warning, it is simply because you have low volt. To confirm this use a multi-meter and check the voltage at:
A- the power connector for the GPS
B- the battery directly.
If A is bellow 10.5 V and B is above 11,x you have a cable problem (long or/and thin cable). If they are more or less the same, but bellow 10.5V you need to check your electric system.
Humminbird 240 won't start
Hi!
If your unit is a portable unit (takes 8 'AA' batteries), make sure that the batteries say 1.5 volts and not 1.2 or 1.3 volts as these won't have the right amount of power.
If not, make sure that the power cable (where it plugs into the sounder) is installed with the small notch pointed towards the top.
Best of luck!
Mike
