Gateway GT5032 add a video card on PCI E slot and
Hi,
Please check if the following is in order:
- Make sure the graphics card is seeded correctly in the PCI-Express slot.
- Make sure that the graphics card has power.
- Make sure your screen cable is connected to the graphics card and not the on-board connector.
You also have to install the graphics drivers that came with the card to get a proper resolution on your screen.
Hope this helps!

Hello,
You will probably need to install the driver for it. Go to:
http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?st=pn¶m=5878
The network adapter driver is a part of the Motherboard Package. You will need to install it from there. I am not sure if you will get options to install each driver individually or if it installs everything in the package. Even if it does reinstall other drivers there should be no problems with the ones listed.
Suggest that you download all of the drivers here and save them to a CD/DVD for future use if needed. Also may want to bookmark the page above.
Thanks for using Fixya.

RE: No Input Signal
What monitor are you using?
Depending on what model it is, there should be a button on the front panel for "auto tuning" or "input select"; you could be using it in DVI mode instead of VGA.
Cd buner want work
1. if you can dissable your pc, do it. take out the cable going from CD ROM to mother board, take it out and put back again firmly. Check all cables are connected properly.
2. Restart PC and try.
3. check if you have updated drivers installed, if not get from internet and install.
4. Switch off and on the PC and see if it detects.
5. if not go to control panel>add remove hardware>check for new hardware see if it detects there and add.
6. if problem persist and if its in warranty go back to the vendor.
7. If nothing works, then purchase an external CD-ROM(probably USB) and enjoy. It won't be that expensive.
Rate me for my solution.

ATX power on Motherboard not working
Just to check the voltages coming from the psu. However if your old psu is doing the same it must be something else. Did you try it without the graphics card? and is it the fan in teh psu which is spinning up?
My next port of call would be any other expansion cards, followed by the memory modules. Take them all out apart from one memory module and try to boot.
Also check that the pins from the power button are connected correctly. you can also try starting the pc by touching the two pins together with a metal tipped screw driver.
GT5032 W/XP Media Edition
Try unplugging and opening the PC and removing the mainboard battery. *It's about the size of a quarter, a little thicker though" Hit the power button about 5 times. (Mind you this will reset ther board to factory settings and you will have to go into set-up and set the time back) plug the pc back up and you may be in buisness.
Hope this helps!
Computer Sound
ok..go to control panel from start button, settings, and select sound icon..at bottom you can re add that icon to your taskbar..
I have a Gateway LP2417 monitor and there's No sound.Hoe do I fix it,so I can hear the video that is playing?
This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor.
The simplest solution is to connect your source to appropriate speakers. Depending on your audio setup, you could connect the video source to a receiver with HDMI IN and HDMI Out (ARC), computer speakers or an audio extractor. (If you are using an HDMI cable between the Gateway LP2417 and a computer, you may need to reset the audio output to use basic computer speakers (3.5mm jack).) VGA and DVI connections don't support audio so I assume you are using the HDMI port.
I hope this helps.
