Can't find a driver for 64 mb allocated vidio
Per HP support this computer does not support windows vista. They are saying no driver for video. I have also checked driver guide site since i am member and only XP drivers. If this is on-board video card you might have to wait and see does hp put out these drivers or some how some one gets it to work. Good luck with this.
Can not get the correct resolution for my monitor
Not all video cards support all resolutions, and as yours is a fairly old PC the onboard Via Unichrome graphics adaptor probably doesn't support WXGA resolutions. Most, if not all, current AGP cards will do what you want.
I changed my password this morning, but now the
hi,
If you remember the administrator password, goto safe mode by pressing 'F8' while PC boots up. Log in as Administrator and reset the password for the existing user.
If not, and if the PC in in any domain, reset the password for the user in active directory and log in,
else login user any other user account, if any, and reset the password of the current user.
else reset the existing password using the password reset disk.
If none of the above option works, you'll have to reinstall the OS
Please come back and rate my solution if this is relevant for you, also if you need more clarifications.

My HP a800n (using XP) worked fine yesterday. Last
Try to boot up into safe mode and see if you can get in there. If so then go into the system tools folder in the start menu or by going into the windows icon. You would go into accessories and then system tools and then go into system restore.
In the system restore choose the last good known date that is bolded when the computer was working properly. After you click on the date to choose it go ahead and let it restore. It will need to reboot, once it does if it goes back in then your good. At that point I would suggest turning off automatic updates for windows.
If you can't get into safe mode, then your going to need to reinstall windows cause the operating system is corrupted.
Cd writer does not open.
This can be a hardware problem or a power problem.
Power problem is easy to solve. check whether the cable with four wires(power cable) is properly connected to the drive.
Other problems can be that a cd might be stuck or the motor which ejects the tray might be faulty.
My computer is slow and the is not reading or burning CD/DVD
Slow computer problem would be different then that non reading disks. Slow computer could happen in many cases, a virus is taking up all the memory, or defragmented hard disk, programs that required more memory and cpu speed. CD, DVD could fail to read due to loose cable, BIOS setup or damaged drive.

My hp pavilion a800n's fan won't turn off
It is possible that your computer is simply overheating causing it to slow down. There are a few ways to check this. Enter the BIOS and go to the hardware monitor, what temperatures does the computer read both for the CPU and the Motherboard? Another option is to install and run a program called HWmonitor that can be found
here. Report back when you can.
Had new hard drive put in at Best Buy and now the
they must have put it fully factory, you need to get your cd to start up before the hard drive does so you can use windows utility on to format and partition it , you may need to go into the setup (bios) and change the boot sequence to cd/dvd rom before the hard drive and run windows setup utility to install the OS on your new harddrive
