Before you buy another one, check two things:

1. make sure the unit is tilted back in the window and not forward. The unit has to be tilted back away from the window about a half bubble on a level in order to drain out the back.

2. if the unit is tilted in the window properly and still draining out the front, you will have to take the case off the unit and wash it out good with a hose and sprayer. If the unit is not rusted out on the bottom, the drain is stopped up that drains the water from the front coil into the base of the unit. The water should be draining from the front to the back, and excess drains outside on the ground. Hopefully, it just needs a good cleaning. Hope this can save you from buying a new unit. Stay cool. Could you please confirm that it is showing F4, Errors on Friedrich Air Conditioners are E*.

F4 would normally relate the the Fan Speed as High, can you try and change the Fan Speed.

That's what happens with loose electric connections. Need to go from the breaker to the AC unit power run inspecting each wire splice, all electric connections need to be clean and tight.
A loose connection becomes electrical resistance and electrical resistance consumes power, power consumed is dissipated as heat. Overheated, charred, discolored connections can be cut off and reconnected when found.
Start by tightening the circuit breaker wires, and neutral if any.
