hi, change printer's head carriage assembly.

You have to make sure the router recognizes the printer and you have the wireless driver installed on your computer.

make sure the printer is online and the cable is proper.

Go to generalmanual.com, type in C5180 then click on the type of manual you want, whether it is the users maual or the setup guide, it is free.

reinstall the software through CD

It appears their are issues with HPSC in newer OSs: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04740294 I'm not sure if HP is even supporting HPSC anymore. Perhaps you can use this instead (appears to be HP's new one): https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/hp-scan-and-capture/9wzdncrfhwl0 I would also have to recommend that you not use Windows XP anymore as Microsoft has not supported it since April 2014. Did it work at all once you reloaded the software? Is the computer recognizing it in devices and printers? If it is present, right click on the printer, go down to properties and troubleshoot.... Let me know
