Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
DMC-FX01 does not support sdhc cards
FX-01 was good camera in it's day but it has been out for 12 years and times have changed. That said, you can still get 1GB and 2 GB SD old-style cards on ebay and other sites. By the way, why hunt for a way to shoot on a 4GB+ card anyway? Low resolution (this one is 6mp) digital cameras with high capacity cards is a recipe for disastrous data loss. As long as your original cards for this camera are not corrupt just keep re-using those.
Message: Memory Card Error - Memory Card Parameter Error on 4gb SDHC card
I have been rummaging around trying to find two solutions: 1) to get my Toshiba Satellite card reader to read SDHC cards and 2) to get my desktop USB ports to read SDHC cards. While MS offers a hotfix for XP, it does not always work because of the different Chip Sets in computers. I have also read where posters say that the SDHC card works in the compter NOW, but NOW will not work in the camera... and the SDHC card NOW works in the camera but will NOT work in the computer.... I found a tekkie article that may help clear the air... SDHC cards are formatted in Fat32x (NOTICE the "x") and SD cards are formatted in Fat32 (no 'x') and these compatibility problems arise when the user unwittingly or unknowingly RE-formats the SDHC card, either when it is put in the computer and won't read or when it is put in the camera and won't read... but just don't bother to mention that THAT is what they did upon inserting the card and only proceeded to complain about an apparent incompatibility. The camera or computer might even mislead you asking if you want to format the card..... but all is not lost. The Panasonic site gives a program AND a pdf instruction book on How To ReFormat an SD or SDHC card specifying the proper Fat32x or Fat32 format. Hope this helps.

Need a CD Installer for Panasonic Camera
You don't need to install anything. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.
Camera appears dead
Lens is stuck. Buy from ebay the same parts camera that has a good lens but maybe bad lcd to make repair.
How do i display date on photo panasonic lumix fp3?
The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Just about any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.
