Hi! I Have the same problem I cannot transfer the Video files from Panasonic VDR-D160 to my Computer, Do I have to download driver or software for this?

tyr it again, use a software that automatically convert files system or use other higher windows operating system such a windows vista or 7.

click the link. download the driver and the instruction manual.
Install the driver on your pc. You can try this driver on windows 98, nt, 2000 and xp. But this driver is specifically designed for windows vista.

dont you have to finalise the disc?

Good news.. you should be able to put the disc back in to the device that you recorded in on... and go to the menu to do the finalize... in fact, you may be able to add more to you disc prior to the finalize process if you want...
once it's finalized you should be able to view on other equipment... your files should all be there as well.

reading the manual, you will need to install all the software before it will be recognised on a Mac - see page 130 onwards Page 137 goes through the USB connection

Try the makers website under support, most are eccepted by the mac without but usually via firewire

if u bought the dvd+r it wont work ull need the dvd-r so it can work i had the same problem till i bought the right dvds
