Projector has image on screen

Be sure you have the right input selected. You might try Auto Search. Then toggle the laptop using the F8 or proper function key to display the output to the projector or in both places. Sometimes the laptop must be hooked up to the projector before the laptop is turned on. Hope one of these works.

Screen keep jumping

This is probably a voltage issue with the power supply especially if it is an LP70 type projector. If not it is still a power supply problem that will have to be fixed.

Have you tried cleaning the fliters on the back of the unit? It's easy to do. Pull them out, and blow them clean. Also, is the projector well ventilated - mine overheats sometimes and shuts off. Otherwise, sounds like he bulb to me.

I have an infocus projector

the greenish tint is likely the light tunnel being out of adjustment or partially collasped. The image being out of focus is likely the misalignment of the focus tube to the base of the focus tube that screws into the front of the light engine. A technician will have to fix either problem.

Infocus x6 has moving diagonal

Possible that the noise you seen( Video noise) is ccoming from the DVD player.
Most often the connecctingg RCA cabbles can be have poor shield orr damaged wires. So connect them tight with the ground tight. If the noise appears reverse the plug of the DVD after switching off.
If the fault wont clear, try to use another device on this port to confirm( another DVD player will be good.)
If the fault disappears then the noise is coming from the power supply of your player --possible failure of filter capacitorrs in the power supply, producing transcient voltage.
However if the other DVD also gives this noise, try to ground the projector, if there is no result then it is possible that the Video input socket has a ground failure in the board.( hope there is no issue with the PC)
If there is fault with all connections to the projector then it is possible that the board are not grounded or there is failure in power filtering. Check on power supply.
Hope these tips help you to make the tests.

Transparency melted onto IN1503 lens

try peeling what you can off and then go to an electronics store like radio shack and get some aerosol board cleaner like BIO-ACT E37M which is a cleaner good at dissolving or breaking down plastic or FLUXOFF board cleaner and work at cleaning it off with a non abrasive cloth and scraping off with something plastic like a credit card and keep working at it until it is mostly clean and maybe a little hazy looking and then get a new cloth and start cleaning the left over residue off the lens with alcohol until it is clean.

In Focus LP820 The projector will not turn on

make sure nothing is stuck in the fan if you can. it would be helpful to know which fan is not working. the easiest thing to do is to make sure all are plugged into the main board. the next thing is determine which fan is not working, usually it is the lamp blower. at any rate, it will have to be repaired by a technician.

Picture going dark. if it's

Hi,
It depends on model of multimedia projector and its performance. If dark picture is only issue then yes, its worth to replace lamp/ bulb.
And if projector is like 5-6 years old model then lamp replacement would be waste of money.
Thanks.
