Step 1: Click on start>>run and type http://192.168.1.1 in case of xp computers or start>>search and type http://192.168.1.1 in case of vista and win 7 os

Step 2: Go tho command prompt and type start iexplore 192.168.1.1

No, you do not need a Hub. You also should not need to add the mac address. On the router, you need to enable DHCP so that your PC can get its IP address from your router. Then try your reboot again. Modem------------->Router----------------->PC. Wait about 1 minute between each device for them to sync up. Make sure that your PC IP settings are set on obtain IP address automatically under Control Panel----->Network Settings

The router comes with a lifetime warranty however Intellinet does not offer phone support but rather a ticket submission system on their website. It also refers you back to the reseller to get technical assistance. Normally you can get free technical assistance from all 3 parties the manufacturer, Internet Provider, and the Re-seller. You may just want to return the item if you still can. Quite a few other brands offer free technical assistance Netgear, Linksys, D-Link, etc... Seems more like the device is the issue here. If you can exchange and get a new router, I'd be happy to walk you through setting up your new router as well.

Usually the way to reset the router to the factory settings is to push in and hold the re-set button for more than 4 seconds. The reset button will be located at a small hole on the back and might require you to use a small pen or screwdriver to push it. Just push the button until all the lights re-set and this should bring it back to the factory settings. After you have done this then you will be able to use the factory password to get into the router. The default user name will be "admin" password is "1234"

Check the IP address on that computer.

Ok at boot up press F8, when the Menu comes up, choose Safe Mode, but this time instead of going to the desktop, choose System Restore, follow instructions, and when the Calender type window comes up, simply choose a time BEFORE, the time it went faulty. This should completely restore you to working again. As long as there are NO other problems.

I presume that you are trying to connect wrelessly. You need to select the same type of security at both the router and the computer. WPA is the most secure so select that. It is easier to do the router setup using a wired connnection. Then disconnect the wired connection and then right click on the adaptor on the laptop and setup using the same configuartion etc.

If you plan on making a career out of this, get yourself a different router. The Intellinet doesn't have very good statistics. At the very minimum, a Netgear WGR-614 will track your activity and email it to somewhere. There is also a C-I-S-C-O solution.

A software solution is probably available, but I tend to like the hardware simplicity of the Netgear. For software fun, try the keywords "internet usage monitoring". You can find a net nanny solution or probably a hosted solution out of the thousands of hits.

Of course, you could also ask your employer if they have a way to monitor your usage.
