Oven: false lock error
Check your thermal regulator located on the back, it is most likel a 2 screw part replacement. Thats What it was on ours, very quick and easy fix.
My Maytag Performa glass top
Dear Gina,
It should be one of 3 things.
1) The element has burned out, or
2) The socket the element plugs into has failed, or
3) the wires hooked to the socket have toasted.
Someone must take the stove apart to see.

The front right element on the stove top comes on
The "infinite switch" is sticking due to burnt contacts. The problem will only get
worse until it is replaced. You will need the model and serial number, generally
located behind the lower drawer to get a replacement. (usually around 40 dollars)
Unplug unit or shut off stove breaker and remove (usually 4 screws) for the control panel. You can make drawing of the wires or use a cellphone to take several pictures
before replacing switch. (do not try changing switches around as they are different
amperages). Also check the burner socket itself, it may require replacement as
well. (They can short out on the chassis and ruin the switch). Hope this is helpful.
Lost our power now on our range we have clock
Ive had the same problem after losing power. I heard to unplug and plug back in the oven and it should work- didnt work for me. Then Ive heard to replace the control board. I found it for $141 on appliancepartspros.com I havent purchased it yet, still searching to see if this is really the problem

Can anyone please give me the serial number and product number to a 6 year old Maytag Performa glass top stove?? I just broke the ceramic top and need to replace it but don't have a serial number.
