I think you might be getting confused.
When it tells you it is static ip it might be referring to your isp connection. I recommend calling reliance broadband and asking them for help with setting up your router . Ask for their support area.
DHCP you might be thinking of could be for your local area network.
By ringing your ISP they will be able to guide you through manually setting up your router and they will know what settings are needed .

Yes google the manufacturer and go to website and download firmware for your model. All Manufacturers have updated firmware for their router and switch products

There are many reasons you could loose a connection from a laptop to a router, without giving any information on the model of your laptop, router, wireless setup (Password etc...) it is somewhat impossible to give you an answer.

Use Factory Default Reset push button for Restoring the Default Configuration and Password:

Do not panic yet. It may be that when your laptop was being cleaned up, the ON/OFF button for your wireless radio (if indeed it has such a button) was switched from the ON position to the OFF position. Look for that button on your laptop and if you find it, switched it back to the ON position.

If there is a lock symbol that means the wifi is password protected. if you are the owner and forgot your wifi password, you have to reset the router.
if you are in a cafe, please ask the staff if they can let you have access.

This is a cut and paste but it saves me time typing.
Find the Netgear router's WPA code on its setup page. Access the setup page by typing "192.168.0.1" into your Web browser's address bar and pressing "Enter." If that number doesn't work, try "192.168.1.1" instead. Type "admin" as the username and provide your router's password. Use "password" if you haven't set a custom password. Click "Wireless Settings" at the left side of the setup page and read the WPA code from the passphrase box on the page.

You should be able to set this up by logging into your router 168.1.1 and setting it up on the user page.

If you were to Google this and look for a key ,Google will more than likely find one for you.Caution be careful here ,when doing searches like this you are routed to various sites so make sure you have a good virus protection on before you go to these sites. Also look for key codes or key generators and make sure it is for your version ,check your help on the program and it will generally give you the version number as many games have updates and they only apply to a specific version.

There is little point in posting a question with no real information.
Saying something is "broke", "doesn't work", "can't connect" or that you "need" or "want something" is pointless without ALL the information.
What actual products are you using? Makes, models, connections...everything about your problem is necessary. We are not there with you. We cannot see what is obvious to you. Most problems occur when you try to get something to work with something else. We need to know all the things you are using and doing that ends with your issue.
The issue is the last thing we need not the only thing.
