I went into "My Computer" and right clicked on the Sansa. I then chose reformat since I already had the files backed up. The Sansa was then reformatted and I was able to add music to my player.

Hello,

There are 2 modes the player can connect to a computer:
1. MSC mode: the operating system, seeing the player as a removable disk on "My Computer"
2. MTP mode: added software, when an extra program is started the player is detected in this application software: e.g. Windows Media Player

When songs show up on the player but not on My Computer:
1. The player is in MSC mode and music has been put on the player with a program in MTP mode
or
2. The player is in MTP mode and music has been put on the player
using Windows Explorer in My Computer in MSC mode

In your case the solution should be:
Switch the player into MSC mode and look in Windows Explorer for
a driver letter with a capacity of about 512MB memory.

How to get the player in MSC mode:
Using the menu on the player:
From the main menu go to Settings Menu > USB and select MSC mode.
Using the hold switch on the player:
1. Turn device OFF.
2. Facing the hold switch slide it to the right so an orange color would show putting the device on Hold.
3. Connect the device to the PC.

Explore "My Computer", looking for the players content showing up as a drive letter (about 512 MB sized for the m230)
Click the drive letter, select your files and "copy + save" or "drag and drop" them to a location on the computer.

When needing more help, just post a comment.

Hello Sir,
Actually, the albums are basically viewed and stored locally on the music player. They contains just the entries of the music files and there location on the storage memory. If you want to delete/add music albums/libraries, you have to do it manually using the mp3 player. There will be options like delete and add new albums in the music player.
I recommend to remove the albums (you want to delete) directly using the mp3 player. This is all I could assess from the Information you provided.
If I had mis-understood your query. do correct me! waiting for your response!

Best of Luck!
Regards.

Once connected create a playlist by selecting songs from the library. 5 Drag all the songs thus included in the playlist to the right column where it is shown 'drag items here' 6 After completing the action of dragging click on 'start syn' at the bottom of the right column The synchronization will start till it appears that action has been completed.

If you get such as message on your PC, it means exactly that: you do not have the appropriate decoder or codec for the media file you are trying to display (or play for that matter).
Your MP3 player, if its just a MP3 playser such as the Sansa m230 will not be able to display pictures which are usually .jpg files (could also be .bmp or other picture formats) or video which are usually .MP4 or .AVI or .WMV

AAX files can be played by iTunes and are also supported by the Apple iPod.
To the best of my knowledge, the Sansa unit is not Apple Ipod compatible and therefore cannot play it!
You will need to convert the iTunes AAX files to MP3 format ... providing they are not protected!

pull the posetive conector (the flat one the that is tucked back) out a little to get a better conection to the battery if that still dosnt fix the problem make sure your batter is good tho and not a dead one. if you stil cant get anything to happen then its probably inside the case.

If you cant delete the files then the files inside is affected with virus. The only way is to format the device. So that virus get deleted.

The easiest way to delete songs from it will be to connect it to your computer-> Open the mp3 folder and select the songs you want to delete. Hit shift+del to delete them. Then close the window, use the safely remove hardware to stop the device and disconnect it from your computer.
