Cant install display/video drivers, error with
Network LAN drivers i will understand to be needed, but (phone) modem??? Why...ohh why? ;)
Are you sure you need phone connection on a 56kbs speed?
Just check out on another PC the exact specifications for the network board you have, then get the driver from that producer page (Realtek, Atheros...)
About video, unless it has a dedicated video card i wont add any extra drivers.
It should simply work well enough with the standard VGA drivers which will automatically install from Windows.

Laptop satellite m100 will not start up suddenly
Try the following things and try to bring it up after each action:
1) Remove and reinstall your memory module(s)
2) Remove the CD drive, any PCMCIA cards, flash drives, all but 1 memory module and anything else that you might have connected to te system.
3) Remove the hard drive and try to bring the system up. You should get a
message that sez something to the effect that the OS can't be found.
Let me know what happens and we'll go from there.
Thanks, and have a good one!

Toshiba m100 my hand trying
Hi,
If you see power lights but nothing appears on the screen, it could be a "POST" (Power-on Self Test) problem or simply LCD problem.
Here are some steps that you can try.
1. Remove the battery and the ac adapter then press the power button for at least 20 seconds to drain electric charges left from the system. (You may need to repeat this step to get it work.)
2. If above step doesn't work, try to plug in an external monitor and see if you get display from the external monitor. You may need to press the Fn + F10 or F6, depends on the key designed on the keyboard to toggle between displays.
3. If you get display from the external monitor, I'm sure your having problem with the LCD components. In this case, check and replace faulty LCD backlight, LCD cable or LCD inverter. The LCD inverter is often a culprit.
4. Try to reinsert the memory module/s (RAM) of the unit, try using one RAM at a time to see if it works. A faulty RAM will cause the issue not to POST.
5. If reinserting the RAM doesn't help, most likely your motherboard needs to be replaced.
Hope this helps.

Bios password for toshiba satellite
You can reset the BIOS password. To do that read the information from this
link.
In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper and I wouldn't recommend doing it especially if it's under warranty.

Toshiba M100 upgraded to Windows
Hello,
When you say you renewed the battery, does that mean you replaced the battery with a new one? If your system is not charging up, try a different wall outlet. If that does not work, try a new power cord and lastly, a new battery.
After you have ruled out these three pieces of hardware, and you still have the problem, you would want to contact Toshiba for repairs as you are left with a malfunction on the laptop itself. Alternatively, you can contact a local computer repair shop.
Regards,

Toshiba laptop won't wake up from stand by or hibernate
I had the same problem on my Toshiba Satellite U305, struggling with it for the past 4 months and having to use Shutdown each time I was done using it. Very frustrating! Toshiba worked with me several weeks, telling me to re-install Vista and all the fixes, which took a lot of work backing up etc and this did not fix the problem. Today they finaly told me to try entering this special command and it fixed my problem. Maybe it will fix yours too.
Create a shortcut on the desktop and to make the shortcut, right click on the desktop, choose Create Shortcut, enter CMD.EXE where it asks you to "Enter the location of the item". This will create an icon on the desktop that looks like a mini-command prompt. Then on the desktop, RIGHT click on the CMD.EXE shortcut/icon you have created and select "Run as administrator". This will open a command prompt window. Here in the black-box with white letter window, enter the command "powercfg -h on" (without the quotes). Reboot and see if the problem is resolved. This fixed my Toshiba Satellite that had this problem.

My f10 light is permanently on...
Do you mean the little light below the keys? Just hit the "FN" (usually on the lower left of the keyboard between CTRL and ALT key (you may have tapped it accidentally) and that will turn them off.

How do i factory reset my m100
If the rescue partition is still intact, pressing F8 as the laptop boots up will show a menu system that gives you the option to restore your system.

You can plug in an external keyboard to a usb port and it will work. You can also buy a replacement. Usually they are fairly cheap and easy to swap out. Usually three or four screws from the bottom and a time ribbon underneath the keyboard.
